Our format is changing slightly this year with an opening on the morning of Wednesday 1 May and a close by Friday lunchtime 3 May - to make it a little easier for delegates travel arrangements. There is also an optional tour of the Melbourne Airport control tower on Friday afternoon. As always with ALAANZ conferences, we are pleased to present a fantastic forum for delegates to get up to date with the issues currently facing lawyers, insurers, brokers and the broader aviation industry. We have put together an informative and relevant program to be delivered by experienced local and international presenters covering the latest industry developments in aviation law, both from an Australian and international perspective. The ALAANZ conference is always a highly enjoyable opportunity to meet and mingle with fellow delegates. This year should be no different, and we are pleased to invite delegates to celebrate another successful ALAANZ conference which will be held at the riverside Pan Pacific Hotel - providing a new outlook on the Melbourne skyline and adjacent to some excellent venues for socialising. Conference Registration Quoted Registration fees are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST). It is highly desirable that all delegates and accompanying persons register by submitting an online registration together with payment of registration fees. Registration Cancellation All cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Secretariat MECCA Concepts. A refund of the registration fee less a cancellation fee of $100 will apply to cancellation received on or before Wednesday 17th April, After this date no refund or cancellation will be possible, although substitute delegates are welcome. All refunds will be processed after the Conference. Visas International visitors to Australia require a visa or electronic travel authority It is your responsibility to ensure documentation is correct and complete before you commence your journey Information on obtaining visas or electronic travel authorities can be found on the website General Information Goods and Services Tax For international visitors, a tax refund may be sought at the airport for goods beyond a certain value and which are carried with them in their hand luggage when leaving the country A tax refund is not available for goods or services consumed in Australia and therefore the GST component of convention registration fees, accommodation, tours etc are not claimable Accommodation Cancellation Cancellation of accommodation rooms less than 30 days before the event may incur the full accommodation charges for all nights booked. Student Registration The ALAANZ 2019 Conference has developed a student registration rate to encourage full time students to participate and further educate themselves in Aviation Law.
