2 St. Frances of Rome Church To Love, to Serve, and Unite through the Eucharist Advent Bible Study: Conversion Hall building; every Wednesday 7-8pm Both in English and Spanish Materials: Study Guide, Conversion by Bishop Barron This Bible study covers six biblical conversion stories of ordinary individuals, met by Jesus and called to live a better life by Him. The main theme covered is on focusing all of our attention and energy towards an even deeper, Personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This program discusses how conversion is not about a one-time event but a life-long process. Week 1: November 7th Intro, Lesson 1: Bartimacus Week 2: November 24th Lesson 2: The Rich Young Man Week 3: November 21st Lesson 3: Matthew Week 4: November 28th Lesson 4: Jonah Week 5: December 5th Lesson5: The Woman at the Well Week 6: December 14th Lesson 6: The Journey of the Magi Each participant needs to have their own material, which has a cost of $15 per person. NEW PARISH OFFICE BUILDING The Riverbank City Planning Commission recently approved the proposed Parish Office Building concept. Presently, the design and drawings will be further developed with intent to obtain Building Permit approval by the end of Winter, so construction may begin in Spring A board, depicting the building front view with materials and colors, is on display in the Church vestibule. 4 RECOMMISSION ALL LECTORS, COMMENTATORS, AND EXTRA-ORDINARY MINISTERS OF COMMUNION In our continuing effort to improve our Sunday Liturgy, the clergy calls All Lectors, Commentators, and Extraordinary Ministers of Communion, to an important training on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 6:30 P.M., in the Church. Also, we would like to extend the invitation to any Parishioner that would like to be part of this Ministry. It is important to attend this Annual Recommissioning Meeting, at which we will be presenting the norms of the Ministry to be practiced by all Ministers. We will be having sign-ups for this Ministry after each Mass on the weekend of November 3rd and 4th. The Commissioning will be on the weekend of December 1st and 2nd, during each Mass. 7 REINSTALACION DE TODOS LOS PROCLAMADORES, COMENTARISTAS, Y MINISTROS EXTRAORDINARIOS DE LA COMUNION En nuestro continuo esfuerzo por mejorar nuestra liturgia dominical, el clero desea llevar a cabo una reunión muy importante con todos los proclamadores, comentaristas, y ministros extraordinarios de la comunión el martes, 13 de noviembre del 2018, a las 6:30 P.M., en la Iglesia. Además, nos gustaría extender esta invitación a los Feligreses que quieran formar parte de este Ministerio. Es muy importante que asistan a esta junta obligatoria anual de reinstalación, en la que se estarán presentando las normas para el ministerio que están ejerciendo como ministros.
