2 General Information & Camp Regulations Time: 8AM Sat. 11/05 to 11AM Sun. 11/06/2016 Location: Fiesta Island Camp 1750 Fiesta Island Road, San Diego, CA 92109, in Mission Bay Park It takes approximately 1 hour 20 min to drive from Irvine to camp Theme: 2016 Fall Camp Cost: Camp fee and food fee will be covered by unit treasury. Permission Slip: Due Friday October 21, 2016 BSA Health Safety A&B Forms: The forms in registration in September 2016 Camp Information: CAMPSITES: (See map below) Thiếu Nam Tây Sơn: Sting Ray Thiếu Nam Đống Đa: Jelly Fish PARKING: NO PARKING is allowed in campsites or fire lanes. (Any place a vehicle can be driven is considered a fire lane) ALL VEHICLES PARK "FACING OUT" (BACKED IN) IN LEGAL SPACES. LOADING /UNLOADING: No cars may enter campsites for quick loading/unloading. Park your car and unload your stuff at the parking lot. THIEU SINH AND THEIR BELONGINGS: will be dropped off at the parking lot and carry to the campsite. IN & OUT TIME: 6AM- 10PM You must report to the leaders/parents in charge if you come/leave before or after scheduled time. CLEANLINESS: Leave No Trace principle must be practiced all the time, everywhere. Groups are responsible for the cleanliness of the restrooms, showers, and common areas. Ranger will only provide trash bags for rest rooms. Bring your own trash bag. ELECTRICITY & CELL PHONE: No electricity is available at campsites. AT& T, T-Mobile, and Verizon work. NO NO NO NO: No Pets are allowed. No alcohol, chemical substances, glass containers, or firearms No passengers in beds of any truck No Sleeping in vehicles No electronic devices (except phone) ABOVE ALL THE SCOUT OATH AND LAW APPLY!! 2

3 Activity Events - Parent drop off 7:00 am 8:00 am - Start time at 8:00 am Saturday 11/05 - Flag ceremony: 8:30-9:00 am, (if some patrols cannot finish setting up the tents, they can come back after flag ceremony or after games) - Dismiss at 11:00 am Sunday 11/06 Activity Rotation - Kayaks, Paddle Board time slots: Morning: Tay Son: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Lunch: Depend on the time; Dong Da can take an early lunch Afternoon: Dong Da: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Dinner: DD and TS cook separately Camp Fire Each patrol prepares 1 skit: each skit about 5 minutes -> 1 hour. 6 Direction to The San Diego Youth Aquatic Center Camp Fiesta Island 1750 Fiesta Island Road, San Diego, CA 92109, in Mission Bay Park. Take Interstate 5 to Sea World Drive exit (approx. 1 mile North of Interstate 8). Take Sea World Dr. West approx. 1/4 mile to East Mission Bay Drive Turn right on East Mission Bay Drive and go about 100 yards to Fiesta Island Road. Turn left on Fiesta Island Road; proceed past the gate onto Fiesta Island, where the road becomes a one-way loop around the island. Turn right and proceed around the first cove of Mission Bay. Turn right at the junction in the road and proceed to the Youth Aquatics Center. NOTE: The entrance to Fiesta Island is closed every night from about 10:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. No cars are allowed to enter or exit the island during that time. Please phone the Council Camping Department at x246 if you have questions. 6
