Thanks for nothing Babbles. Ok I ll take care of the typing. We started off the season with a grand Easter Egg Hunt. Kids were happy and full of sugar by the time we were done. At the annual Poor Farmer s Get Together, we were treated to Chuck Lyon s fine dining once again. Opening Season Weekend left us all wanting S more Mrs. Doubtfire. I m glad the Autism run was before the Chili Cook-off, but the line dancing wasn t. Memorial Day Weekend gave us the opportunity to race our carts, photograph our frolic, and spend our money on some sketchy looking bags and boxes. We also got strawberry shortcake, karaoke, and Sugar Grove Bluegrass band. In June we saw tractors, engines and a lot of fleas. Our car show broke two records; the most cars and the least rain in years coincidence? 4 th of July was a blast! The Silly Sally Super Duper Scavenger Hunt drew a huge crowd, as always, and Tommy Knox lit up the stage with some great music. Grandparents Weekend was a hit! I still have soup can plants sitting in front of my front door at home. There were so many people at the Moonlight Mania Scavenger Hunt that the flashlights lit up the night. Jim and Barb Foster finished off July with the Annual Woodcarver s Round- Up. In August we had the fairs and our State Coachmen Rally, boy was it hot and wet! Then Rick and the Committee put together another successful Golf Cart Rodeo. We had flap jacks flying during Labor Day and Tommy Knox came back to rock the house. The fall tractor show was great until it rained on Saturday. We had a record turnout for Halloween and the Pig Roast ended the season in great fashion. Thanks for cookin the pig Ed! What a great year thanks to all of you out there in camperland. Now I have to put this baboon on a plane back to Ethiopia.

2 The Monthly Chatter Page 2 of 6 Okay you polar fanatics. There are quite a few of you who have opted to stay at your campsite and even more of you who have made the move up front. For you veterans this is standard operating procedure, but for you first timers my advice is talk to the veterans. Throughout the winter, there are a couple special rules I would like you all to consider. These rules have been put in place because of your proximity to each other, the increased use of the shower houses, and weather concerns. After reading this if you have any questions please don t hesitate to come to the parts store for clarification. Let s Go Camping! in the cold. Hose and reel must remain inside heated restroom when not in use. The area around your coach must be kept free of clutter Due to the proximity of your neighbors, quiet time is 10PM Use restrooms for personal hygiene only; no washing dishes, pets, sewer hoses, etc. Please keep the restrooms clean! These are for all to use so be respectful. Please do not disturb the items in the shelter or any other out building. Do not store anything in the shelter unless an agreement has been made with Mike. The use of hay, straw, or other bailed product is prohibited for skirting. The number of personal vehicles for each camper should be limited to one around the shelter. Other vehicles can be parked down the hill along the road or at your perm spot. Vehicles should be parked on the gravel at all times. Do not park on grass! No Smoking in Shelter or Restrooms. Speed Limit is 5MPH. Ask us about getting a 100lbs propane tank

3 Page 3 of 6 The Monthly Chatter Halloween Weekend! Perm Site Winner! Jim Smith & Doris Atkinson We were humbled to have hosted a Halloween for hundreds of happy hikers, hippies, and hulks. There was a hot headed hooligan, a husky horse handler, and a hard working hula dancer trying to head up the costume contest. They all headed here and there for heavy handouts of Hershey s, Air Heads and O Henry s. We had help hooking up the haunted house that happened to be a huge success. However, I hesitate to holler and howl hysterically at a hazed housewife who hit her hubby hard when heckled. We were all happy to have haunted you and hope your Halloween went hazard free. 5 Page 5 of 6 The Monthly Chatter 2016 Pig Roast Our annual pig roast is always bitter-sweet. On the one hand it is nice to get together with our friends and family to break bread and share precious memories that we made throughout the year. On the other hand, it is sad that this is our last official event of the season. Either way you look at it, there is no better way to end a camping season than with the three F s; food, family, and friends. I would like to extend a special thank you to some fine people who made this dinner possible. First, I would like to thank all the staff at Poor Farmer s. Without you guys there would be no Poor Farmer s. Thank you to Ed Bruggeman for taking the lead on preparing the pig, as well as staying with the pig all night long. Thank you to Janice Werts, Char Bruggeman, Rick & Deb LeVally, Vern & Amy Collins, Barb & Larry Slusser, Denny & Jacque Shoenleben, Jim & Barb Foster, Kenny Baker, Jayden Hatcher, Carson, Mason, Jaiden, Mikey and of course the pig. She leaves us with a legacy that will never be equaled. Janice has left her footprint all over this campground. She is responsible for many of the things you see from day-to-day; like the colorful tags that go in your coach window and the now famous Poor Farmer s waiting list. There would be nights during the Flea Market Weekend that I would hear Janice s voice in my sleep Mike, I have one camping and flea ready to go. If there was ever a team to beat all teams, it was Janice and I during the Tractor Show. Janice, from all of the Poor Farmer s employees, campers, and family; Thank you for every time you sat in the camp office waiting for a late arrival. Thank you for working 11 days in a row during the tractor show. Most of all, thank you for being part of our family. -Love you
