Lostcreek-Shelby Rd Fletcher, Ohio (937) Beggars Night October 10 th 5:30pm 10pm I have had many people ask why we host our Beggar s Night so early. So here is my top ten list as to why it s better to host Beggars Night on the 10 th instead of the 31 st : 10.) The candy received on the 10 th can be used to give out on the 31 st. Big Money Saver! 9.) This gives the kids a good opportunity to make sure their costumes contain enough fake blood. 8.) The warmer temperatures will prevent any fake appendage freeze-ups. 7.) It gives you time to get a new costume, if you see that half the kids at Poor Farmer s are wearing the same thing. 6.) You get two chances to raid your kid s candy bag. 5.) If your kid nearly drowns from bobbing for apples, you have time for a redo on the 31 st. 4.) October 10 th has no correlation to the devil, witches or zombies. 3.) As long as we keep it going, in the year 3010 we will be able to have Halloween on ) The 31 st falls just after a full moon, therefore, by celebrating Halloween on the 10 th it gives you a less likely chance to get bitten by a werewolf. and the number one reason why October 10 th is the best day to celebrate Halloween 1.) That s when the World Famous Haunted Shelter is opening at Poor Farmer s RV. Come out for a great time!

Are you a happy camper? Do you enjoy your time at Poor Farmer s RV? If so, please spread the word. As a small business, buying ad space on TV and radio is not a realistic option. We strive to keep our prices as low as possible in the hopes that our customers will tell their family and friends about us. Now we are hoping that you will tell complete strangers about your time at Poor Farmer s. In this technological age we live in, many people looking for a place to take their RV to camp or for repairs often look on the internet for reviews and opinions of anyone willing to take the time to post their opinion; good, bad or indifferent. That is what we need you guys for. I need you to take a couple minutes out of your day to log on to these sites and let them know what you think. I am not asking you to lie, just be honest except when mentioning the General Manager; lie like a rug on the floor when you mention that guy.

3 Page 3 of 6 The Monthly Chatter Closing Up for the Winter What to leave and what to take There you stand in your fall jacket and knit cap, staring at your RV that is about to be winterized by the world class service technicians at Poor Farmer s RV. The only thing that is on your mind what stays and what goes? This article will help you decide what needs to stay in your camper through the winter vs. what you need to take home. This article will help you make sure you have your coach ready for the conditions that come with an Ohio winter. Your first step may seem like a no-brainer, but the first step usually is. Go through your camper and take out everything that will freeze. This includes: food, cleaning supplies, toiletry items, and anything you have stuffed into the outside storage compartments. Once you have all of your liquids packed up or discarded, you need to ask yourself; What do I want to clean when I come back in the spring? Pots, pans, plates, utensils and cups can be washed in the spring when you open up the camper. Your blankets, sheets and other fabrics will need cleaned before the start of the next camping season, but not many of you have a washer/dryer in you camper so taking these items home and storing them in vacuum bags is a good idea. Storing these items at home also prevents any critters from using them as nesting material if they are able to gain access to your RV. I know the thought of varmint gaining access to your camper is a rancid notion, but here are a couple of tips to keep them out. First, clean the camper really well to make sure all the crumbs that the grandkids left behind are gone. Second, survey your coach outside and in; if you see a hole, crack, or vent that you can fit your finger into, fill it with steel wool. Finally, put out a deterrent, such as moth balls, Decon, or fabric softener sheets. There is no 100% guarantee that your camper will not be a Holiday Inn for furry folks, but taking these steps will help. I hope this article helps you get through another Ohio winter, and for those of you who plan on spending the winter in Florida, Texas, or Arizona, all I ask is got room for one more?

4 The Monthly Chatter Page 4 of Carl Springer Memorial Tractor & Engine Show / Flea Market I promise, by the end of my time here at Poor Farmer s RV, I will find a way to make this name a little shorter. This year s fall show was filled with flea marketers, food, and fun. I would like to thank all who helped with parking and security: Barb & Larry, Tony, Ed, Rick & Deb, and Megan & Bryant. We did have rain on Saturday, but it s not the first time we ve dealt with rain during the flea market. I would like to thank everyone for coming and participating. I would also like to point out to anyone who may be in charge of scheduling for other shows in the area; the dates for next year s fall show are: September 15 th -18 th, 2016 A great time was had by all this Labor Day weekend! We kicked off the celebration with a flippin good breakfast thanks to Chris Cakes and raised some dough for the Shriners! We played some BINGO and had root beer floats, then Starlight Cloggers stole the show. To finish our Saturday we had another successful Light Parade. Sunday we had our golf cart parade and tried to roast some hot dogs over the fire, but boy was it hot! That night we finished with some karaoke in the Big Shelter. Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend a great time. Our own Amy M. makes a great slap jack save! To enter the contest bring your favorite homemade chocolate treat to be judged. *Judges have already been selected Cody Pace & Brett Doyle Brett and Cody have become a fixture here at Poor Farmer s RV. We hired these two motivated Marines/Hobart students to help us out in the service dept., the campground or wherever else they were needed. Not only have they been an outstanding addition to the team, they have also become good friends and soon Cardinals. These two hard chargers make magic happen. I tell them what I need done, and POOF it s done. Brett and Cody will soon be leaving Poor Farmer s in search of adventure, good times and the all mighty dollar. Before they go, be sure to thank them for their service and dedication to our country and freedom; thank them for helping to keep Poor Farmer s a great place to camp; and finally, wish them luck on their future endeavors. The small gnomes that inhabit this estate are peaceful and friendly. I do, however, have a couple of bones to pick. First, I haven t seen the first red cent from those freeloaders for rent. I see a camper in their yard that they did not buy from Poor Farmer s RV. I see a for rent sign which tells me that they are sub-leasing, and that is not permitted here at Poor Farmer s Campground. All that aside, I think their site is very cute. I just have one question, where is the swimming pool? Thanks Rick and Deb for your original campsite decoration.
