I will begin parking for the flea market on Sunday, Sept. 17 th around 4PM. The flea market, as well as the camping, is first come first serve. If you camp the weekend before and would like to leave your unit here for the following weekend, please let us know when you check in and I will park you in a spot that will make this possible. If I don t park you, there is a good chance that you will have to move. As always, it will be a busy weekend, if you have guests please inform them of the campground rules, most importantly, the 5 MPH speed limit. Also, with the increased number of RVs that will be here, make sure you turn your water heater and fridge to propane. This will take a load off of the electric and cause less outages, especially if it is hot and people are running A/Cs. Now that we have all the specifics taken care of, we can enjoy the tractor show and spend some money at the flea market. Save the Weekend Poor Farmer s RV hosted the 2017 Golf Cart Rodeo on Aug. 26 th and boy did we have a great time! We welcomed both participants and spectators to attend and had quite a showing. Odd Powers brought their team once again, as well as Big Block Carts. Watch out for these racing teams in the future as there is plenty of talk as to who can build the fastest outlaw cart or at least one that can compete with Steve Springer s C.A.R. (Candy Apple Rocket). 2 Rules Reminder The Monthly Chatter Page 2 of 6 Ok campers, here is your friendly reminder of some rules that have been infringed upon in recent days. If you would all please retrieve your copy of the rules and what? You don t have a copy of the rules? Ok, I will wait for you to download them from our website and print them so we can go over them oh, you will also need a highlighter as well. Ok, welcome back! Below is a list of rules that need to be highlighted on your copy: #1- The speed limit on the property is 5 MPH! #5- It is your responsibility to keep your lot mowed even when you re not here. #10- Quiet hour is 11PM. One of our many qualities is that we are a quiet campground. Let s keep it that way. #12- The dumpsters are for household trash only. NO LARGE ITEMS! #15- No gray or black water is permitted to be dumped on the ground. BIG NO-NO! #20- We do not allow refrigerators, freezers, outside buildings or doghouses at your campsite. #22- No permanent dining flies, canopies or screen enclosures will be allowed. Site of the Month The LeVally Estate This campsite needs no introduction; some call it the camper on the hill, others call it the penthouse suite. I like to call it Home to those freeloading gnomes. Rick and Deb LeVally have done it again, their beautiful oasis sits atop Hobo Mountain and watches over all and once again, they will watch over the Site of the Month sign which was made by you guessed it, Rick LeVally. Is there anything these two can t do? Oh yeah, they can t get those damn gnomes to pay their camping fees. Thank you Rick and Deb for caring for your campsite in such a way that it is recognized from year to year. Also thank you for all you do for the campground. Enjoy the free dumps.

3 Page 3 of 6 The Monthly Chatter 2017 Golf Cart Rodeo The Debby Mitchell Memorial is the Daytona 500 of the golf cart racing world. One day there will be a National Golf Cart Racing Circuit and folks will be ordering Pay-Per-View to see us fly around a quarter mile figure eight track in our 400 horsepower outlaw golf carts or catch their favorite driver as they compete in a mile long obstacle course where they have to navigate around alligator pits and jump over a shark tank oops, did I go too far? Enjoy the pics. The Spoils of Victory Love This! Henry Meyers fire truck golf cart took home Best in Show Memorial run for John Becker started the event. We will miss you John! Lean into it Rick! Educators are important But racing golf carts is importanter.

4 If you are living full time in your camper and only paid the seasonal rate you are wrong. We have two different categories of permanent campers. There is seasonal and Live-In. Our Seasonal Campers pay a flat rate at the beginning of the camping season that is good for weekend camping from May 1 st thru October 31 st, above that seasonal campers are responsible to pay for their electric throughout the season. Our Live-In permanent campers pay a deposit and monthly rent and monthly electric. Please take a hard look at how you are using your coach. If you are living in your coach and are not paying monthly rent and electric, you need to come up to the parts store and get registered as a live-in. It is not fair to the folks who do pay monthly rent and electric, for someone else to live in their camper full time without paying the same. If it is discovered that someone is taking advantage, they will be asked to leave. A MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR THE VICTIMS OF HURRICANE HARVEY. PRAY FOR A QUICK RECOVERY. The Monthly Chatter Page 4 of 6 Poor Farmer s RV: Supporting The Miami County Fair You might ask yourself; What does it mean to support the fair? Well, to Poor Farmer s RV, it means supporting the kids good kids. You see, the kids who are caring for animals, participating in 4H, cooking, sculpting, farming, painting, or any of the various ways to show your talent, are the kids who don t have the time to get themselves involved with gangs, drugs, and criminal activity unless you count cow tipping and snipe hunting as criminal. These young future agriculturalists work very hard for their projects. Many live by the saying that they never eat before their animal or that the piece that won was the umpteenth one they did cause the others just wouldn t do. These kids strive to be the best and it shows. So, in our book, supporting the fair means supporting the kids. Another way to support the fair is to patronize the businesses that support the kids. How else can they afford to show their support if you don t show yours. The list of businesses that attend, display, sponsor and buy animals is too long to list here. You can go to the Miami County Fair website, to find a list of all the businesses that support the fair so you can support them. There are two very prominent Miami County businesses that weren t at the fair this year, their names start with Dave and Paul. SMH Poor Farmer s donated over $4500 to the kids and the fair. That means that if you bought a camper, had your camper serviced, or camped at Poor Farmer s RV in recent months, you ve helped some young boy or girl pay for next year s project or even help pay for their first year of college. Now sit back and pat yourself on the back then get up to the parts store and help us cover the 2018 Miami County Fair, because we will be there.

We will give a prize to the best over-nighter and a separate prize for one of our perms. Happy Decorating! Memphis Report Say hello to Memphis Carl Thomas Miles. He is the newest member to the family, and he has claimed the title of The best thing to happen to That s a pretty special title, especially considering how well I have been hitting the golf ball this year. Memphis was born on July 20 th, almost a full month before his original due date. He really wanted out of Amy s belly, but can you blame him? It had to be getting cramped in there, especially since he was sharing space with about 50 pounds of water. That s right, Amy lost almost 50 pounds of water within two days after delivery. Now go pick up 8 gallons of milk to get a good idea of what she was dealing with. Welcome to the World Memphis, your Uncle Mike loves hanging out with you and can t wait to let you in on some good tricks to annoy your mother.

See us at: Once again Poor Farmer s hosted the Annual Coachmen State Rally. There were four different Coachmen clubs represented at the rally and a few Members At Large. We started the rally with some cheese and crackers on Friday night along with some gracious social interaction. Then on Saturday there was a little less grace and a little more trash talk when the games started. John Grigsby warned Bob Workinger that getting back to the camper was going to be a chore if he hit the three-hole with the washer. It worked though, John and Larry ended up victorious. Thank you Becky Brittingham and the rest of the Pound Puppies for organizing the event and thanks for the Buckeyes Sandy! If you own a Coachmen and want to know what s going on with the different clubs, come see us at the parts store. We will give you some info on what it takes to be part of the fun. There is no commitment to camp everywhere the club goes, but there is at least the opportunity to camp with experienced campers who want nothing more than to have a great time with their RVs.
