Speaking of Past Commodores, our Club is saddened by the recent loss of two beloved PC s, Noah Rogers, Commodore, and Lew Abernathy, 2004 Commodore. Their memories will live on but their presence will be deeply missed. Since CIYC is where fun lives, we are already off to a great start with a new year of fun and exciting activities even if it isn t boating weather just yet. Thanks to the Chojnacki s for hosting a wonderful Thanksgiving event at the Club this year. The Children s Christmas Party was enjoyed by all and the Christmas Lighted Boat Parade had 22 boats participating for the 50 th Anniversary. Check out the parade video at BoatParade.com. The Cruise & Entertainment planning meeting is scheduled for Saturday, January 10 at 10 am at the Club. This is a great time to bring your ideas for fun activities and join in to host or help put together these fantastic parties and cruises we enjoy each year. Come to the meeting and get involved! As I write this, I am looking forward to the Commodore s Ball, which is always a wonderful and enjoyable event, hosted this year by Dan and Kathie Bunn. Also, the New Year s Eve party is sure to be a great time, and the band we heard during Umatilla Days will knock out their blood pumping sounds to keep us moving and shaking all night long! Genie Sigler December 2014 General Meeting The General Membership Meetings are held the first Tuesday of the Month, starting at 7:30 PM. This meeting is proceeded by a potluck dinner at 6:30 PM. Each member coming to the dinner brings a main dish, salad, or dessert to serve at least 10 people. Cruise and Entertainment By: Dave Chojnacki I would like to thank all of you for the opportunity to serve as the CIYC Cruise and Entertainment Director.

It is going to be an exciting year for all of us and I know if we all work together we can make this another memorable year.

Thanksgiving we had a good turnout and all left with full bellies and a extra shot of tryptophan. The Christmas decorating and visit with Santa was a hit thank you to the Bunns and Hammers.

3 Cruise and Entertainment By: Dave Chojnacki I would like to thank all of you for the opportunity to serve as the CIYC Cruise and Entertainment Director. I would also like to thank Jim Sarpolus for the last (2) years of great service to the club and all of its members. It is going to be an exciting year for all of us and I know if we all work together we can make this another memorable year. I would also like to introduce Dave and Thora Michels as my Cruise captains and Mark and Joyce Buxbaum as my Entertainment captains. December 31 st is New Years Ball hosted by the Chojnackis. Tickets are available now at per person and per couple. Flyer/sign up sheet will be posted this week. Please see Olga or Dave. Social hour is at 6:00pm and dinner at 7:30pm. Dance will start at 9:00 featuring Blue Tattoo. January 10 th at 10:00am to discuss 2015 cruise and entertainment. After the meeting we will discuss the bylaws and goals. Up-coming events are the Crab Feed January 17th and the Seattle Boat Show January 24thand 25 th. Tickets are on sale for 2016 Seattle Boat Show for First come first served. If we get a second host we will order another bus.
