2 WHAT IS THE CUB-O-REE A fun overnight camping experience to start off your scouting year. This years event will be held during the first weekend of October. Filled with activities for the kids to participate in, and to fulfill badge requirements. An opportunity to get to know the new families, and catch up with returning families in your pack. In 2009 we had 932 people register for the CubORee, 430 adults, 417 scouts & 85 siblings.

3 WHAT IS NEW AT CUB-O-REE 2010 We will start earlier so packs can have more daylight to pitch their tents, and they will have the opportunity to dine together. After breakfast on Sunday we will have a non denominational service from 9:00-9:30 led by John Kerr in the Campfire area Activities will begin at 9:40 and end at 1:00. There are 5 activities planned for the day. Each activity will be 35 minutes long with 5 minutes to walk to the next rotation. We will have between children in each group. Packs will rotate together and will not be split up Activities BB Guns, Where in the World is Lord Baden Powell, Obstacle Course, Fitness Fun & meet live Bats!

4 WHEN YOU ARRIVE PARKING & REGISTRATION Visit Registration first to check in and get wrist bands for everyone in your party. Wrist bands will have your pack number, campground number, breakfast time and activity rotation starting point Parking towards Cub World is suggested if the ground is soft from rain

5 YOUR PACKS CAMPSITE Sample: Your Camp Site is #8 It is located in Campground # 1 The Wednesday before the event pack leaders will be sent out a personalized PDF with their packs activity itinerary, campground area and breakfast rotation. Leaders: You are allowed to have above ground campfires in your site. Please bring your pack flag with you and put it in the front of your site. It is our preference that leaders sleep close to the service roads so we may easily find you if necessary.

6 SATURDAY OCTOBER 2 ND Check in starts at 4:00pm Visit the Troop 21 $.50 Canteen for Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Snacks, Drinks & Glow Sticks from 4:30-9:30pm at the Dining Hall serving area. Campfire brought to you by Pack 19 starts at 8:00pm After the campfire we will have a flag retirement ceremony 10:30pm Lights out for scouts & siblings

7 DINING AT THE CUB-O-REE Saturday night Troop 21 $.50 Snack Shack, located at the dining hall serving area will be open from 4:30-9:30 Packs can cook food together in above ground fires. Off site dining close to Cub World is Frisch s, Gold Star Chili, Dominoes, Chili s & Chipolte Sunday Morning Breakfast Rotations The dining Hall seats up to 300 people at a time 7:30-8:00 Rotation 1 8:00-8:30 Rotation 2 8:30-9:00 Rotation 3 Menu: Sausage & Biscuit from Mc Donald s, Cold Cereal, Milk, Sunny D & Coffee 9:30-1:00 Troop 21 $.50 Snack Shack will be open in the dining hall serving area

8 SUNDAY - OCTOBER 3 RD Breakfast will be served in 3 rotations between 7:30-9:00. Families are encouraged to break down their camp before 9:00. A non denominational Sunday Service will be held in the campfire area from 9:00-9:30 Activity rotations start at 9:40 and end at 1:00pm

9 ACTIVITY ROTATION MAP Each pack/group will rotate through the letters or the numbers. Sometimes these groups will be together, sometimes separate Stop A or #1 will be the BB Gun ranges Stop B or #2 Where in the World is Lord Baden Powell in the Castle or Fort Stop C and #3 will meet at the Dining Hall to meet the Paramedics Stop D and #4 is Fitness & Obstacle Courses Stop E and #5 is Bats located in the shelter across from the bathrooms

11 LETS BE SAFE AT THE CUB-O-REE For your safety since we have such a large group of people please stay with your pack. Keep your wristband on. It has important information that will let us know where you need to be if you get lost. If we have a thunderstorm you can take shelter in your car, dining shelter, administration building, bathrooms, Fort, or Castle. Alternate activity plans are in place if there is rain on Sunday. Do not allow boys to go into the stream area (by the campground) with out their parent.

12 WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE CUB-O-REE? Clothing Suggestions Scout Uniform or Scout T-Shirt with your pack number on it. Long Pants or Shorts Extra shirt Sleepwear Sweatshirt Comfortable shoes (Please no Sandals or Crocs) Socks & undergarments Hat or Sunglasses

13 WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE CUB-O-REE? Personal Items Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Comb or Brush Baby Wipes or Hand Sanitizer Sunscreen Bug Spray Personal medications please pack in a zippered plastic bag with the individuals name clearly marked on the outside. Camping Equipment Tent Sleeping Bag & Pillow (Light Sleeper? Bring an air mattress for a comfortable night) Lantern & Flashlights for each person in your party Water Bottle & Snacks Wagon or Cart to help you move your stuff
