2 Group logo Our Group logo or brandmark is made up of two parts. Firstly the ei device which is shared by all our Business Units and the brand word mark or specific business name. ei device brand word mark X Clearspace Minimum distances around our logo Half the X height of the ei device of all brandmarks denote the minimum clearspace that the brandmark requires across print and web design. No text or graphical device should enter this area.

3 Respect our logos What not to do All our brandmarks have been carefully drawn and arranged to form a balanced whole. It s really important not to change them. Think of our brandmark as a sign of authenticity, it needs to be consistently presented. i. iv. ii. v. iii. vi. the enterprise Some common mistakes in displaying the brandmark i. altering the size of the mark or the type ii. changing the position of the mark or type iii. do not stretch the logo in any way iv. putting a box around the brandmark v. changing the colour of any part of the mark vi. add to or alter the brand word mark

4 Colour Group colour palette Our primary palette is based around the colours in our brandmark. All of the colours shown here are represented in PANTONE values, CMYK and RGB. Primary colours If you are commissioning professional printed artwork you need to use CMYK or PANTONE references. For online or onscreen visuals refer to the RGB value. The primary and secondary palette should be used initially supported by, (in no greater proportions than shown) the tertiary colours. 5 The Group logo Our Group brandmark and colourways Full colour This is our preferred version of the brandmark for Ei Group, using the core purple PANTONE 2607 C, or equivalent CMYK/RGB values stated in this document. This will stand well on lighter backgrounds only. Monotone brandmarks There are times when our primary brandmark is not suitable. This might be because of the type of material we are printing onto or because of a difficult background colour. In these cases there are two other monotone versions that can be used.

6 Our brand typefaces The typefaces are for use with the Group and Business Unit brands. We are retaining all the typefaces for the new brand that we used for our previous branding. Typefaces for Microsoft Office documents Because the above typefaces aren t available on all desktop computers in the business we substitute them for equivalents. Use Century Gothic for headlines, titles and small amounts of introduction text and Arial for large amounts of formatted text. Both of these typefaces are available on most desktop computers. It should be used for headlines, large exhibition artwork and small amounts of introduction text. Univers in used for large amounts of formatted text where legibility is of primary concern. 7 The Group & Business Unit logos Each of our Business Units has its own distinctive logo They are designed to show the close relationship to each other and do this by sharing the same ei device. The same tenets and rules apply for all the marks.

12 The brandmarks Our Ei Publican Parnterships logo and colourways Full colour This is our preferred version for all our brandmarks. By using our brandmark Ei Publican Partnerships as an example, you can see we use only the core blue PANTONE 7686 C for our full colour version, or equivalent CMYK/RGB values which are stated in this document. Monotone brandmarks There are times when displaying the brandmark in the primary colour is not suitable. This might be because of the printing process where colour is restricted or on photographic images where there is not enough standout. In these cases a black or white (knock-out) monotone colour may be used. All Business Units follow the same rule with their respective primary colour.

14 Ei Group & Business Unit naming conventions Ei Group plc We should always refer to the company as Ei Group plc or Ei Group or the Group. Group should always be written with a capital G. It is acceptable to drop the plc as and when appropriate. Enterprise Inns plc or Enterprise will still be seen in historical documents and PDF s and in the Our History section of the Group website. Communicating externally we should not abbreviate the names in written or verbal communication. Communicating internally we can refer to the Group or Business Units as the following: Ei Group plc EIG or the Group Ei Publican Partnerships - EIPP or PP Ei Commercial Properties EICP or CP Ei Managed Operations EIMO or MO Ei Managed Investments EIMI or MI Do not drop the I from EI so EG, EPP, ECP, EMO and EMI are not to be used as short forms informally.
