3 ROUTE SUMMARIES Starts: All events begin north of the intersection of Bonhomme Street and Maligne Ave. Participants corral along Elm Avenue and are directed to the start area just prior to their event. All events begin heading south along Bonhomme Street/Pine Street, then west on Connaught Drive. Athletes follow Connaught Drive onto the Icefields Parkway and then turn onto Hwy 93A. Finishes: All events return along the Icefields Parkway and follow the same roadways within Jasper Townsite to the finish area. Specific details on each event are listed below. GRAN FONDO Plan A 165km (Marmot climb) Description: Cyclists turn right onto Marmot Road and climb to the lower base day lodge at Marmot Basin (pending final approval from Marmot Basin). Cyclists turnaround and return to HWY 93A and continue heading south to the intersection of HWY 93A & Icefields Parkway. Cyclists turn right (south) and continue along the Icefields Parkway to the turnaround point at the staff complex at Poboktan Creek. Cyclists return along the Icefields Parkway to Jasper and the finish area. Plan B Inaccessible areas on Marmot Road (Ice/Snow/Wildlife) Description: If Marmot Road has an inaccessible section of roadway due to ice/heavy snowpack, or wildlife, the event would be shortened. The turnaround point would set to the next nearest area allowing for a wide turnaround and rest stop area.

4 MEDIO FONDO Plan A 100km Description: Cyclists turn right onto Marmot Road and climb to the lower base day lodge at Marmot Basin (pending final approval from Marmot Basin). Cyclists turnaround and return to HWY 93A and continue heading south to the intersection of HWY 93A & Icefields Parkway. Cyclists turn right (South) and continue along the Icefields Parkway to the turnaround point (appx 7.5 km). Cyclists follow HWY 93A to Jasper and the finish site. Plan B 85km (return at icefields intersection inaccessible areas south of intersection) Description: Cyclists turn right onto Marmot Road and climb to the lower base day lodge at Marmot Basin. Cyclists turnaround and return to HWY 93A and continue heading south to the intersection of HWY 93A & Icefields Parkway. Cyclists turn left (North) and continue along the Icefields Parkway to Jasper and the finish site. Plan C Inaccessible areas on Marmot Road (Ice/Snow/Wildlife) Description: If Marmot Road has an inaccessible section of roadway due to ice/heavy snowpack, the event would be shortened. The turnaround point would set to the next nearest area allowing for a wide turnaround and rest stop area. PICCOLO FONDO Plan A 65km (no climbs) Description: Cyclists stay riding along HWY 93A to the intersection of HWY 93A & Icefields Parkway. Cyclists turn left (North) and continue along the Icefields Parkway to Jasper and the finish site.
