S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from the Sacramento County line to Bass Lake Road: Work resumes on a $31 million project by El Dorado County to add bus/carpool lanes to U. S. Highway 50 in south El Dorado County. U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Bass Lake undercrossing to Shingle Springs Road: Motorists can expect east and westbound lane restrictions and ramp closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday through Saturday. A contractor is scheduled to install k-rail and perform grinding and paving work. U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) U.S. 50/Missouri Flat Interchange Improvements: Work resumes on a $40.5 million project. The project includes: reconfiguration to a four-lane interchange, auxiliary lanes between the interchange and the Forni Road/Western Placerville Drive Interchange; widening, addition of a

2 bike/pedestrian facility between Missouri Flat Road and Placerville Drive. Completion is expected U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Missouri Flat Road to Placerville Drive (Forni Road/ Fairgrounds): Motorists can expect east and westbound lane restrictions and ramp closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Saturday. A contractor is scheduled to do highway construction. U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) in South Lake Tahoe: Work resumes on a $40.6 million project to widen shoulders, construct new sidewalks, add bike lanes, install new roadside drainage systems and improve signal operations from Trout Creek Bridge to Ski Run Blvd. Completion is expected in weather permitting. U. S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Ski Run Boulevard to Fairway Avenue: Motorists can expect #1,#2 westbound lanes and shoulders restrictions all traffic will be shifted to the eastbound lane with up to 10 minute delays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through (11 a.m. Friday) Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do grinding and paving work for the next five weeks. U. S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Fairway Avenue to Ski Run Boulevard Avenue: Motorists can expect #2 westbound lane and shoulder restrictions from 8 p.m. Sunday through 11 a.m. Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do drainage work. (24 hr work) State Route 89 (Placer County) Work has begun on a $34 million project to rehabilitate stormwater drainage and treatment systems, realign the road, and widen shoulders to allow bicycles and places for cars to pull out of traffic from Tahoe City to Tahoma. Completion is expected in State Route 89 (Placer County) from Chambers Lodge to Mckinney Rubicon Springs Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control with up to 20 minute delays beginning from 5:30 a.m. Monday through 3 p.m. Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do utility work.

3 State Route 89 (Placer County) from Trout Street to Mckinney Drive: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control with up to 20 minute delays beginning at 5:30 a.m. Monday and continuing through 3 p.m. Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do utility work. (24 hr work) State Route 89 (Placer County) Work has begun on a $7.2 million project to do in-place recycling at various locations and placing overlay on Highway 89 from West River Street to Squaw Valley Road from edge of pavement to edge of pavement. Completion is expected late October State Route 89 (Placer County) Squaw Valley Road to West River Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control with up to 20 minute delays from 5 p.m. to noon Monday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do pavement work. (Shuttle service for cyclist is provided) SPECIAL EVENTS On U.S. Highway 50, State Route 28 and 89 in the Tahoe Basin: Motorists can expect to see reflective signs at various locations warning the traveling public to be cautious of bicyclist from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The event is for the 10 th annual Tour De Tahoe-Bike big Blue Ride to Cure Diabetes SHORT-TERM PROJECTS State Route 28 (Placer County) from Bear Street & Brook Street to Fox Street: Motorists can expect intermittent east and westbound #1 lane restrictions from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday(noon Friday). A contractor is scheduled to do sewer work. State Route 49 (El Dorado and Placer Counties) from State Route 193 in Cool to the Bear River bridge at the Placer County line: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control in various locations from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do miscellaneous maintenance work. U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from east and westbound El Dorado Hills Latrobe Road undercrossing (El Dorado Hills Blvd): Motorists can expect partial lane

4 and ramp closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday (September 8 9). A contractor is scheduled to do electrical work. U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from the Carson Creek Bridge to Ponderosa Road: Motorists can expect westbound #1 lane restrictions and ramp closures from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Saturday. A contractor is scheduled to install K-rail. U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Ponderosa Road to Ray Lawyer overcrossing: Motorists can expect east and westbound #1, #2 lane restrictions and ramp closures from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday through Saturday. A contractor is scheduled to do grinding and paving work. U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) at the Shingle Spring undercrossing: Motorists can expect east and westbound #1, #2 lane restrictions and ramp closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Saturday (9 a.m. Saturday). U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) on Highway 50 to El Dorado Road: Motorists can expect east and westbound ramp closure from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Saturday. U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) at the Placerville Drive undercrossing: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control just east of the eastbound onramp to Highway 50 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from the Sawmill undercrossing at Ridgeway to the South Fork American River near Ice House Road: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane and ramp closures from 6 a.m. to (midnight) 12 a.m. Monday through Friday. The Caltrans District Traffic Management Branch has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above. ## Lanes are numbered from the center divide (#1) to the shoulder (#2, 3, 4, etc.).
