19 COLLECTOR / DISTRIBUTOR BRIDGES SOUTH OF FRANKFORD BR 51 - April/May: Install bridge beams Nightly closures of southbound mainlanes to stage cranes and beams BR 49 - Late March: Stripe/Shift northbound mainlanes to the median, install concrete traffic barrier on east edge of deck and demolish rail/deck for outside widening BR 51 BR 49 BR 47 BR 47- Late March: Remove island and shift northbound frontage road east, install concrete traffic barrier on west edge of deck and demolish rail/deck for inside widening. 19

20 COLLECTOR / DISTRIBUTOR BRIDGES NORTH OF FRANKFORD ROAD BR 56 - Mid-late March: Begin drill shaft installation, partial demolition of existing BR 55 Construct new southbound Frankford exit ramp Mid to late summer nightly closures of southbound mainlanes to place beams BR 52- Currently installing drilled shafts, bridge upper works to follow Northbound frontage road shift to BR 52 expected late Summer BR 56 BR 53/54 BR 52 BR 53/54 - Will follow BR 52 completion in the fall. No planned traffic impacts until then 20

21 SAM RAYBURN TOLLWAY DIRECT CONNECTOR RAMPS Installing drilled shafts and columns at BR 67 and BR 70 east of 35E. Cap forms scheduled to arrive by end of March. BR 68 drilled shafts expected to begin in April. Late March/early April expect to begin edge of deck tie-ins to the SRT at all 4 connectors. Stripe/shift, install concrete traffic barrier at each location (night work). ROW acquisitions nearing completion on north and southbound frontage road north of SRT. Expect utility relocation work to begin by April. Business access will be maintained at all times. Currently installing drilled shafts and columns at BR 67 and BR 70 east of 35E 21

22 SOUTHBOUND SRT EXIT RAMP SOUTHBOUND FM 3040 / HEBRON EXIT RAMP SRT exit ramp will be widened and striped/shifted to allow for permanent drainage installation Night work in late March Southbound exit ramp to FM 3040 will be shifted north onto new pavement Night work estimated to begin at end of March 22

24 DEMOLITION SEQUENCE DEMOLITION SEQUENCE Southbound I-35E will close on Friday, March 20 Work will progress from west to east Southbound entrance ramp south of Main Street, northbound entrance ramp north of SH 121 and the pedestrian walkway will close at 7 pm Frontage road will be reduced at 8 pm, the Fox Avenue bridge will be closed and traffic and detoured along the frontage roads Mainlane closures begin at 8 pm One SB lane closes at 8 pm All SB lanes and two NB lanes close at 10 pm All NB lanes closed from 11 pm 3 am All closures expected to end by 8 am Saturday, Fox reopens to traffic 24

25 DEMOLITION SEQUENCE Northbound I-35E will close on Saturday, March 21 Work will progress from east to west Southbound entrance ramp south of Main Street, northbound entrance ramp north of SH 121 and the pedestrian walkway will close at 7 pm Frontage road will be reduced at 8 pm, the Fox Avenue bridge will be closed and traffic and detoured along the frontage roads Mainlane closures begin at 8 pm One NB lane closes at 8 pm All NB lanes and two SB lanes close at 10 pm All closures expected to end by 8 am Sunday, Fox Avenue reopens to traffic 25

Asphalt and concrete paving by end of March, walls complete at abutment Grading FM4 07 roadway BR 86 and 87 set beams on 03/17 and 3/25; beams staged in right lane of FM 407 west of FM 2499 (Copper Canyon) South header near completion. Paving by end of March. Grading operations will move south to Grandys in April (minor stripe/shifts at southbound frontage road) 26

27 COPPERAS BRANCH PARK EAST Copperas Branch East Park is currently in punchlist mode Subcontractor expects to complete by end of March Environmental mitigation continues 27

28 GARDEN RIDGE AND COPPERAS BRANCH PARK EAST Garden Ridge is progressing Two bent caps needed for substructure Nightly closures to place asphalt and concrete median and stripe/shift northbound lanes towards median SPAN 1 SPAN 2 Beam placement for spans 1 and 2 scheduled for early April. Nightly closures of 2/3 mainlanes for Span 2 and stopping traffic for up to 20 minutes to hoist and set each beam (night work). 28

29 GARDEN RIDGE Garden Ridge east detour / approach implementation in April Reroutes thru traffic from under existing bridge and creates working room for bent 5 construction 29

31 SOUTHBOUND FRONTAGE ROAD CONVERSION BETWEEN HIGHLAND VILLAGE ROAD AND GARDEN RIDGE BOULEVARD Southbound frontage road between Garden Ridge Boulevard and Highland Village Road March 16 Frontage road converted to southbound only Recommended northbound detour: ISVILLE Exit Lake Dallas Drive, make a U-turn, head south and exit at Garden Ridge Boulevard to access Highland Village Road. 31

32 HIGHLAND VILLAGE ROAD AGL crews installed a temporary drainage pipe under Highland Village Road to maintain level of the southern portion of Lewisville Lake Barge will be placed in this area to place drill shafts Intersection of Highland Village Road and the southbound frontage road will be closed this summer to reconstruct Highland Village Road Motorists will use newly constructed Copperas Branch Park Road to access the frontage road and Highland Village Road Closure expected to last eight months 32

34 SWISHER ROAD Southbound mainlane ramp conversion Ramp 458 (north of Swisher Road) reopening March 21 as a permanent entrance ramp to southbound I-35E Daily/nightly lane closures along southbound frontage road for construction activities 34

35 TURBEVILLE/HUNDLEY ROAD Turbeville/Hundley Road will be extended and flow underneath I-35E Currently constructing the jug handle just south of Chili s Jug handle connects Turbeville Road to the southbound frontage road Expected to open this month Exit Ramp 457 will become a temporary entrance ramp Conversion scheduled for April and should last approximately six months 35

36 NORTH DENTON BRIDGE April North Denton Drive bridge is converted to eastbound traffic only Northbound I-35E traffic will continue on the northbound frontage road to I-35E Southbound I-35E traffic will take Lake Dallas Drive to the south Denton/Oak Drive bridge Access to Chili s maintained; building new temporary pavement alongside the frontage to access Chili s Access to Lake Hill Drive using the jug handle Entrance ramp 456 near Lake Hill Drive will be converted to an exit ramp Conversion expected to begin in April and last approximately 6 months Mid-to-late 2015: bridge will be demolished South Denton Drive bridge remains a two way. The frontage road between Hickory Creek Road and Oak Drive will be a two way. 36

38 ACCESS TO HICKORY CREEK ROAD Access to Hickory Creek Road during southbound frontage road detour: Take North Denton bridge to Lake Dallas Drive to the South Denton/Oak Drive bridge to the southbound frontage road to Hickory Creek Road Southbound frontage road will be two-way between Hickory Creek Road and South Denton/Oak Drive North Denton bridge remains two way Southbound frontage temporarily becomes a twoway between Hickory Creek and the South Denton bridge 38

39 SOUTH DENTON/OAK DRIVE Daily lane closures on Oak Drive to widen the roadway and for utility work Work will continue through March Flagger will direct eastbound traffic Spring 2016 South Denton bridge is demolished New Turbeville/Hundley connection will be open before bridge is demolished Oak Drive will be extended and run underneath I-35E Oak Drive 39

40 MAYHILL Northbound mainlane traffic shift to median at Mayhill Bridge Scheduled to occur by end of March 2015 Crews will begin rehabbing the southbound mainlaine outside shoulder between Post Oak and Loop 288 this month 40
