1 PennDOT Interstate Work next week March 30-April 3: Interstate 80 Interstate 81 DELAYS THIS WEEK: Exit 256 to the Schuylkill County line. Eastbound & Westbound. Northbound and southbound work will begin on Monday (3/30) and last through November SINGLE LANE restriction in both directions between Exit 211 (Lenox) and Exit 217 (Harford). NEW CONSTRUCTION STARTING: Near Exit 194: The off-ramp connector near I-81 and the NE Turnpike, I-476, which allows traffic to access Route 6 East and Route 11 South will be closed beginning Monday (3/30) until July 1, The bridge project is located in Clarks Summit and goes over Routes 6 & 11.The project includes reconstruction of the bridges concrete parapets and concrete median barrier. NOTE: This is not the off-ramp from Interstate-81 or the Turnpike. It is the Connector Ramp / Bridge to access Routes 6 & 11. It is some distance from the interstate. The Truck detour will take traffic from I-81 and I-476 to I-81 South, then to the Dunmore/Blakely Street Exit. Traffic will turn around and get back onto I-81 North to the Dickson City/Scranton Expressway Exit for Route 6 West & East and Route 11 North & South. NEW CONSTRUCTION STARTING: Exit 191: South Bound Off Ramp at Exit 191 (Dickson City/Bus. Route 6). Drainage work in median area Monday (3/30) and Tuesday (3/31). DRIVER ALERT - Slow moving construction equipment. ONGOING CONSTRUCTION : Exit 191A (Dickson City-Viewmont Mall): Northbound & Southbound re-decking of the bridge over Business Route 6. Work has begun. Watch for new traffic patterns and single lane restriction in both directions of the bridge. The temporary concrete traffic barrier will be moved, expanding the already-closed center lanes of the bridge. The Southbound I-81 on-ramp accessible from Route 6 West is closed and will reopen approximately September The DETOUR for I-81 SB: Follow Route 6 under the bridge and through Chinchilla to Business Route 6 & 11 to the turnpike entrance in Clarks Summit to I-81 SB. DELAYS THIS WEEK: Exit : Southbound. Left lane restricted for inlet cleaning and cross pipe flushing between exits 188 (Dunmore/Throop) and 190(Main Ave) Monday (3/30) and Tuesday (3/31) 9 A.M. to 2 P.M.

Rt. 6) Monday (3/30) and Tuesday (3/31) 4:00 A.M. to 7:00 A.M. Shoulder restrictions. DELAYS THIS WEEK: Exit 184 (River St. to 182 (Davis St.) Concrete cores will be taken from the Southbound Passing Lane Closure, 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Thursday (4/2). EXPECT DELAYS. DELAYS THIS WEEK: Exits 180 (Moosic to 182 (Davis ST./Montage Mountain Rd.) Concrete cores will be taken from the Northbound Travel Lane Closure, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday (4/2). EXPECT DELAYS. ONGOING CONSTRUCTION : Exit 182: Montage Mtn. Road. Work has begun on the widening project on the I-81, Exit 182 Ramp B to Glenmaura Loop Road. Project will turn three lanes to five lanes. Limited restrictions at this point of the project as most of the work will occur in the shoulder. Accommodations will be provided to alleviate interstate ramp backups. Work is Mondays through Thursdays, 7am to 5pm. Some Friday work possible. Completion Summer ONGOING CONSTRUCTION: Exits : Northbound. Luzerne & Lackawanna counties. TRAFFIC FOR THE MOOSIC EXIT USES THE NEW CROSSOVER WHICH BEGINS 1/2 MILE BEFORE THE CURRENT EXIT. IF MOTORISTS MISS THE NEW OFF- RAMP, THE DETOUR SIGNS AT THE DAVIS STREET OFF-RAMP WILL DIRECT THEM. Bridge rehabilitation project is between Exit 178A (Avoca) and Exit 180 (Moosic). NORTHBOUND work is between mile 174 (Exit 170B Wilkes-Barre) and mile 181 (Exit 182 Davis St. /Montage Mountain Rd.). The crossover bridges will provide temporary roadways to handle traffic while two Luzerne County bridges and one Lackawanna County bridge are redecked and rehabilitated. Two lanes will be maintained in each direction. Anticipated completion late summer MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO DRIVE SLOWLY AND SAFELY AND WATCH FOR DIRECTIONAL SIGNAGE. BE AWARE AS OTHERS ADAPT TO THE CHANGES IN TRAFFIC PATTERNS, AND BE ON THE ALERT FOR CONSTRUCTION PERSONNEL AND VEHICLES. ONGOING CONSTRUCTION: Exits : Bridge rehabilitation and deck replacement work on two structures in Laflin Borough, Luzerne County, and one structure in Moosic Borough in Lackawanna County, continues. Anticipated completion is Fall Two lanes of travel will be maintained throughout the work. Lane closures will occur at night. Work will continue behind barriers over winter.

3 INTERSTATE 84 ONGOING CONSTRUCTION: Exits 2 to 4: Eastbound & Westbound work continues behind barrier through summer between Exit 2 (Elmhurst) and Exit 4 (I-380 split), Lackawanna County, to repair a drainage pipe under the roadway. Traffic is not impacted. DELAYS THIS WEEK: Exit 2: East bound. Right lane restriction for bridge deck patching at Exit 2 Elmhurst Tuesday (3/31) through Thursday (4/2), 8 A.M. to 2 P.M. DELAYS THIS WEEK: Exits 2-4: Both directions. Slow moving, night time sweeping operation between Exit 2 Elmhurst and Exit 4 (I-84/380 split) Monday (3/30) and Tuesday (3/31) 4:00 A.M. to 7:00 A.M. Bridge rehabilitation between Exits 20 (Daleville) and 24 (Scranton/Milford). Interstate 380 NB/SB. Work has resumed on the parapet demolition of a bridge on Dorantown Rd in Covington Twp. which crosses over I-380 at approx. Mile Post 19 near the Daleville Exit. 5 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Lane restrictions, delays, detours Route 6, Honesdale Borough: Road construction work continues on 4th St., between Main & Cliff streets in downtown Honesdale. Traffic has been re-routed over the newly-completed downstream side of the 4th Street Bridge, alleviating some congestion. Demolition of the upstream side of the existing Fourth St Bridge continues. Minimal delays as the work is behind and below the barrier. Pedestrians should be use caution when walking through the area and when crossing the intersection using the new portion of the bridge as the temporary walkway has been removed. Area across from the hotel and along Park St. has been graded and protective fence will remain in place until the final phase when a fence and benches will be installed there. New traffic signals are being installed at the various intersections, but the signals and changes will be made as needed for temporary conditions. Motorists are asked to be aware of these changes and obey the local speed limits. DRIVERS ALERT: New traffic patterns. Concrete barriers reduce the lanes widths and permitted loads are restricted to 10'6" through work zone. Allow for left turns during peak time to facilitate traffic. DETOUR for 12th Street at the intersection with Church St. Left turns only from Church onto 12th Street. Detour uses 11th Street to access 12th Street. Project includes construction of the Church Street Bridge over the Lackawaxen River; widening of the 4th Street Bridge, turning traffic one-way on Main and Church streets, new traffic signals. Contractor is working Monday through Thursday and only on Fridays if they lose a day due to the weather. Route 3005, Forks Bridge Rd. over west branch of the Wallenpaupack Creek, Salem and Sterling townships being replaced. DETOUR: Route 3005 to 191 to 3011 (5.5 miles). Anticipated completion is December Route 3006, Lake Ariel Bridge, Salem Twp: Road is closed for bridge replacement. DETOUR: Routes 3008 and Anticipated completion is September 2009.
