5 David Memorial Drive Roadway Extension Potential Partners City of Shenandoah Montgomery County Precinct 4 City of Conroe Metro Park Square Houston Methodist Hospital Adjacent property owners Conroe ISD Estimated Cost & Funding Estimated cost is $7.0 M to $9.0 M Total project length is 5,600-LF City of Shenandoah has $2.5 M Montgomery County Precinct 4 has $2.0 M from road bond Submit in 2019 to H-GAC for additional funding

6 Tamina Road Widening Widen Tamina Road from David Memorial Blvd. to Old Hardy Road. Approximately 600-LF of 5-lane concrete roadway with a continuous center turn lane in the City of Shenandoah Approximately 1,900-LF of 5-lane asphalt road in MCP4

7 Tamina Road Widening City of Shenandoah will continue the sidewalks and raised median with designated openings to the City Limits. Montgomery County Precinct 4 has funding in the road bond for the county portion of the project. MCP4 has selected another engineering firm to begin design.

8 Research Forest/Tamina Road Intersection Improvements Potential Partners City of Shenandoah Montgomery County Precinct 2 Montgomery County Precinct 3 Montgomery County Precinct 4 TxDOT Timeline Shenandoah is in the process of coordinating with all the entities involved The minor improvements should be addressed in 2018/2019 The major improvements will have a longer duration

9 Research Forest/Tamina Road Minor Improvements Create a designated lane for the U-turn (similar to Rayford Sawdust U-turn) Add lane delineators to prevent traffic crossing from U-turn into the first driveway Lengthen the right turn lane from Research Forest eastbound on to I-45 south frontage road

10 Research Forest/Tamina Road Minor Improvements The City of Shenandoah is coordinating with the TxDOT area office to create the designated lane for the U-turn The improvements include striping, signage and delineators

11 Research Forest/Tamina Road Major Intersection Improvements Current intersection has shared turn and through lanes, which causes traffic to become blocked in a lane The level of service for the intersection is a Level F Under the overpass the east and west direction has 3 lanes

12 Research Forest/Tamina Road Major Intersection Improvements Proposed improvements include adding a through lane under the overpass in the east and west direction 2 designated turn only lanes and 2 designated through lanes in both the east and west direction Proposed improvements will create a level F level of service during peak demand, but it will be a better F
