3 General Information Symposium Venue The 6th International Symposium on Fusion Technology will be held at Niigata University, Niigata, Japan. Address: 8050 Ikarashi 2-no-cho, Nishi-ku, Niigata, , Japan URL: Registration The registration desk will open at Niigata University during the following hours: Friday, January 26, 13:30-17:00 Place: Hall Saturday, January 27, 8:00-17:00 Place: Hall Sunday, January 27, 8:00-12:00 Place: Student Affairs Department Welcome Reception Welcome reception will be held at Cafeteria #1 at Niigata University on the evening of Friday, January 26. All those who registered with the symposium are welcome (The fee is included in the registration fee). Banquet On the evening of Saturday, January 27, a banquet will be held at the Art Hotel. All those who registered with the symposium are welcome (The fee is included in the registration fee). 4 Excursion To promote further communication and collaboration among the participants, halfday bus tour is planned on January 27. We will visit Northern Culture Museum that is one of the largest historical farmer s house in Niigata. Northern Culture Museum URL: Language English is the official language for the symposium. Oral Presentation Each oral presentation is allocated a 20-minute time slot. These 20-minutes must include the presentation, questions, any discussion, and the transition to the next presentation. It is strongly recommended that speakers plan on a minute presentation to allow 4-5 minutes for questions. Presentation shall be uploaded to the computer in the presentation session room via USB flash memory stick during the break before the session. Each presentation session room will be equipped with a personal computer, LCD projector, a microphone, and a pointing device. The software installed on the computer includes MS office (PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Poster Presentation Poster presentation will take place from 12:10 on Saturday January 27 at the Hall of Niigata University. The poster board size is 1,800mm (Height) x 1,200mm (Width).
