2 Student Guidelines EDHS Music Department Disneyland Trip General Expectations for Students: 1. You must complete all trip payments by the assigned deadline. No payments will be refunded for any reason if you are unable to attend the trip. 2. You must follow the directions of Ms. Haugland and all the chaperones at all times. 3. You may not bring or consume any alcohol or tobacco products, or drugs other than those listed on your health information form. 4. You may not participate in sexual activities. 5. You must contact your assigned chaperone and Ms. Haugland in the event of an emergency. 6. You must wear a (Cougar) blue shirt during each day we are in the park and adhere to the school dress code throughout the trip. You must wear closed toed shoes while in the park. 7. You must adhere to the trip itinerary and follow trip procedures at all times. You may not leave the park at any time without Ms. Haugland s permission and an accompanying chaperone. 8. All school rules and policies are in effect at all times for all students, including those 18 and older. 9. You must respond to all , Remind (@EDHSDL2016), and/or text communications in a timely and appropriate manner, as requested, before and during the course of the trip. 10. You must arrive at scheduled check in, call times, etc. on time and prepared with any equipment/materials needed. You must provide a courteous and timely notice to Ms. Haugland and the other chaperones if a situation arises in which you anticipate being late for whatever reason. 11. You must demonstrate respectful and respectable behavior at all times through your speech, body language, dress, and general courtesies. 12. You must always behave safely and look out for the safety of others. 13. You must always travel in a group of three or more when the group is disbursed. Do not leave anyone alone or with only one other person. 14. You must eat at all mealtimes. You must stay hydrated. You must wear sun protection. 15. Help one another, parents, our bus driver, hotel and park staff, and others around you whenever possible. 16. Leave every place cleaner than you found it, including our bus, hotel lobby and hotel rooms, restaurants, and anywhere you visit in the park. Hotel Expectations and Procedures: 1. The hotel is for sleeping, bathing, and keeping our belongings. We will not be doing much hanging out at the hotel during any point of the trip, so do not plan to. 2. You will only have your room key while at the hotel. You will give all room keys to your chaperone each morning before we leave. 3. You may not enter a hotel room assigned to anyone of the opposite gender. 4. Do not make excessive noise while anywhere in the hotel. Speak softly when we return to the hotel each evening. 5. You must wear shoes at all times in the hotel while outside of your room. 6. No switching room assignments. Do not ask Ms. Haugland if you can switch. 7. No swimming at the hotel. 8. Discuss your sleeping arrangements with your roommates before the first night. Do not pressure anyone to do something they are not comfortable with.

3 9. Discuss your shower schedule with your roommates before the first night. 10. Keep your rooms tidy and make sure your belongings are put away before leaving for the day. Be respectful of your roommates space in the room. 11. Be in your rooms before each night. You will be taped in at. 12. Your chaperone will open your door for you in the morning for wake up and check your room s tape. 13. You are required to eat breakfast in the morning. A continental breakfast is provided at the hotel. Each room will also have a refrigerator in which you can keep any food you bring. 14. Be respectful of all hotel property. 15. You may not open your hotel room door after or in the morning before wake up. If you need to be let out for a compelling reason you must call your chaperone to come escort you. 16. Be ready to leave the hotel at the designated time each day. Do not delay the group. 17. You may not return to the hotel at any time during the day. Make sure you have everything you need for the day before we leave. Park Expectations and Procedures: 1. Have your cell phone with you at all times and do not deplete the battery! 2. Keep Ms. Haugland s number and your chaperone s in your phone and/or on your person. 3. We will walk to and from the park together. Do NOT disperse when we arrive until Ms. Haugland has said to! 4. You must tell your chaperone who you will be with at the park. Report any changes to your chaperone immediately. 5. Bring enough money to cover your meals and souvenirs. 6. You must eat at all mealtimes. You must stay hydrated. You must wear sun protection. 7. You must stay in a group of three or more at all times. 8. You must wear a (Cougar) blue shirt during each day we are in the park and adhere to the school dress code throughout the trip. Closed toed shoes must be worn at all times while in the park. 9. If you have an emergency, you must contact your chaperone. There will be a chaperone stationed in a designated area of the park at all times if you need something. 10.
