2 Welcome to Bickleigh Castle... One of the county s most historic listed properties, the 11th century Castle lies amidst a secluded valley alongside the River Exe; mature trees, beautiful gardens and a huddle of pretty thatched cottages cluster around the majestic building, while the resident ducks skim across the moat and wander its banks. From the ornate Italian gates to the suits of armour and huge portraits that cloak the walls inside, each wonderful and curious feature of the Castle echoes a rich sense of history and the romance of chivalry.

4 Inside the Castle Our facilities offer the perfect set up for residential and day conferences, meetings, product launches, photoshoots, filming, private dining and banquets, garden parties, corporate and private hospitality as well as team building activities. The Castle boasts a flexible variety of rooms to suit different requirements, all promising undisturbed privacy. Whether a day or evening event, overnight stay or more, you will be surrounded with a relaxed and inspirational atmosphere to achieve your objectives and free your mind. We provide catering to suit any requirements and always to a high standard. A well stocked bar is available and can be open at times to suit you. 5 Accommodation We offer 18 bedrooms, most with en-suite facilities in the cottages surrounding the Castle courtyard, enabling you and your colleagues to make the most of your time uninterrupted. All rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard, with tea and coffee making facilities. 6 Outside the Castle The Castle s surrounding grounds are perfect for garden parties, hospitality events and teambuilding activities that can be tailored to your company s needs. Along with the large lawn inside the Castle walls and tennis courts, we also have several fields of varying sizes for your use and fishing rights on the River Exe which flows past the front door. General information All rooms can be set up as required, or cleared totally of furniture ou can arrange the entire event yourself and bring in your own caterers or engage an event planner to arrange the details on your behalf and use our suppliers ou can bring your own alcohol (no corkage) or we can run a pay bar ou can use our tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, linen and glassware for no extra charge if you are organising the event yourself, but we do ask you to pay for any breakages
