Built in the 1650 s The Old Bell Hotel played a central role in providing many essential services to Derby residents including a courtroom, post office, hotel, coaching inn and so much more. 4 The Stables Located towards the rear of The Old Bell, the Stables are a bright, cosy and quirky space ideal for a variety of events. During The Old Bell s time as a busy coaching inn, the Stables were home to the horses and other animals that were the life blood of 18th England. Signs of its history can be seen in the original cobbled flooring and beams which stretch across the building. The stables comes complete with its own bar and is perfect for a range of different functions.
