5 Settig the stadards for others to follow David Watso Trasport About Us 05 From the Begiig About Us David Watso Trasport Ltd started off life as Milbak Trucks Ltd i David Watso started as a driver for Milbak Floors Ltd (part of the Milbak group of compaies) which was established i 1947 ear Chelmsford i Essex. Maufacturers of precast cocrete uits to desigs pateted by Geoffrey Milbak saw the Compay move to a moder purpose built factory o a 8 acre site at Earls Cole. Jauary 1984 saw the purchase of the first lorry uder the Milbak Floors baer. The lorry was the first of its kid to be fitted with a Tico lorry loader arm, equipped with a wich to allow it to be used i the same maer as a mobile crae. I July 1986 Milbak Trucks Ltd was formed as a separate compay with David Watso as the Maagig Director. Steps were take to develop the compay from a specialist i the delivery of cocrete floorig products to takig o other work requirig the use of a heavylift crae lorry. I 1988, a 8 wheeled rigid lorry, fitted with a 30 to/metre crae the largest of its type at that time was purchased with the specific aim of beig able to lift heavier plat ad equipmet tha ay of the competitors. Milbak Trucks cotiued to expad, with over 115 trucks i the fleet ad over 140 employees. Depots at Earls Cole, Brado, Cliffe, Stafford ad Northampto gave the compay great coverage throughout the Uited Kigdom allowig a fast ad efficiet respose to customers demads. I November 2008 Milbak Trucks was placed ito admiistratio as a result of the failure of sister compay Milbak Floors Ltd due to the declie i the buildig idustry. Because the compay had bee successful, the admiistrators ad baks fully supported a takeover by David Watso ad his team so December 22d 2008 David Watso Trasport Ltd completed the purchase of the assets of the compay formerly kow as Milbak Trucks Ltd.
