2 MOTION CRAC : Moved by Steven Zeidler and seconded by Richard Weese that the following reports be received as information: 1. Culture & Recreation Advisory Committee Minutes of 11 July 2013; 2. Recreation Report No. R13-007, dated 30 July 2013, with respect to an Outdoor Rink; 3. Recreation Report No. R13-008, dated 9 August 2013, with respect to Splash Parks; 4. Recreation Report No. R13-009, dated 21 August 2013, with respect to a Ball Diamond Back Drop; 5. Recreation Report No. R13-011, dated 30 August 2013, with respect to Park and Playground Development; 6. Recreation Report No. R13-012, dated 30 August 2013, with respect to a Skate Park; 7. Recreation Report No. R13-013, dated 3 September 2013, with respect to Outdoor Fitness; 8. Recreation Report No. R13-014, dated 3 September 2013, with respect to Soccer Fields, and 9. Recreation Report No. R13-015, dated 3 September 2013, with respect to Hope Community Christian Church. AND FURTHER THAT the Township of Severn does not go forward with the Outdoor Rink as it is cost prohibitive, and the Coldwater Lions Club be advised in writing by staff; AND FURTHER THAT the Splash Park be deferred until such time as this project would be feasible; AND FURTHER THAT staff investigate height requirements for the Ball Diamond Back Drop and report back to Culture & Recreation Advisory Committee for 2014 budget discussions; AND FURTHER THAT the Culture & Recreation Advisory Committee meet on October 10 th, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at the proposed Locke Subdivision playground to review park development; - 2 -

3 AND FURTHER THAT costs for Park & Playground Development be discussed at Culture & Recreation Advisory Committee 2014 budget deliberations; AND FURTHER THAT the Culture & Recreation Advisory Committee recommend we partner with the Coldwater Lions Club for renovation/expansion of the Coldwater Skateboard Park; AND FURTHER THAT costs for Outdoor Fitness equipment for existing parks be included in the Culture & Recreation Advisory Committee 2014 budget discussions; AND FURTHER THAT costs for Soccer Goals be included in the Culture & Recreation Advisory Committee 2014 budget discussions; REPORTS FROM OFFICIALS (for direction) Recreation Report No. R13-010, 21/08/2013, re E-Bikes on the Uhthoff Trail MOTION CRAC : Moved by Lisa Ferguson and seconded by Steven Zeidler that Recreation Report No. R13-010, dated 21 August 2013, with respect to E-bikes on the Uhthoff Trail be received; Discussion re items for 2014 Budget AND FURTHER THAT E-bikes be considered motorized vehicles and prohibited from use on the Uhthoff Trail; AND FURTHER THAT the Uhthoff Trail By-law be amended to reflect the above. MOTION CRAC : Harvey that staff obtain costs for the following items to be considered during the Culture and Recreation Advisory Committee 2014 budget discussions: 1. Software for Recreation Program Registration - 3 -

Water Access Holcroft Road CORRESPONDENCE (for information) Dave Hemming , 31/08/2013, re E-Bikes MOTION CRAC : Harvey that from David Hemmings, dated 31 August 2013, with respect to E-bikes on the Uhthoff Trail be received as information; AND FURTHER THAT Mr. Hemmings be sent a letter advising E-bikes are prohibited on the Uhthoff Trail. Steven Zeidler , 11/07/2013, re Bike Tour Report MOTION CRAC : Moved by Steven Zeidler and seconded by Richard Weese that from Steven Zeidler, dated 11 July 2013, with respect to Bike Tour Report from Antony Hilliard be received as information; CORRESPONDENCE (for direction) AND FURTHER THAT this report be forwarded to the Recreation Departments at Tiny, Tay, Oro-Medonte and City of Orillia. Stephanie Stanton , 25/06/2013, re Muskoka Concert Band in Washago Park MOTION CRAC : Moved by Stephanie Stanton, dated 25 June 2013, with respect to Muskoka Concert Band in Washago Park be received as information.
