2 VISION To open the minds of children and youth to the, Spirit, Discipline and Work Ethos of the Indian Armed Forces Through camping as temporary communities and undertaking various enjoyable physical and knowledge base activities to help them grow as responsible citizen. Why? ~ What is the benefit? In addition to the obvious character building experiencies and benefits to the young citizen, these camps and excursions will give an opportunity for them To know for themselves their strong points and drawbacks to help them prepare for and pursue various professions, such as Armed Forces, Merchant navy, Enterprenuership etc To increase their exposure of life skills and safe living through interactions and practical instructions from specialists Paricipants get a certificate of participation from NAMAC an instutution run by the Indian Navy

3 What! Boot Camps : Short and intensive yet enjoyable training for Young people, group activities while staying in camps, to give them a military orientation and increase their self confidence. Duration: 5 days 4 nights Suitable for Boys, Girls and Young Adults of Age Group 16 to 21 years Bud Camps : Mini-Camps of similar selected activities just as enriching in its scope. Duration: Type A 3 Days & 2 Nights Type B 2 Days & 1 Night Camps Suitable for Boys and Girls of 13 to 16 Years and for 17 to 19 Years in both types of camps Excursions: Day excursions of activities and mini-treks (upto 2hrs) for Boys and Girls age groups of 09 to 19 years Note: All the above will be organised in batches during the overall period 22 April to 11th June 2017 Activities : According to the durations and age groups of the camps and excursions, the sort of activities planned are : Setting up and running the camp administration Yoga / Games / Exercises Short Trekking planning, preparing and executing a trek and enroute activities mindful of emergengies On Camera Discussions with eminent specialists on subjects such as Disaster response, Domestic emergencies, Safe browsing on internet, Handling everyday stress, First Aid, Fire-fighting practicals etc Self-Organising a campfire with storytelling (to develop skill of addressing a gathering), impromptu skits and unaccompanied singing etc. (All activities are closely overseen by the camp staff along with debrief for learnings on leadership, accountability, life skills and character building )

4 Where! Boot Camps & Bud Camps : will be held on a table land on top of a hill in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. The hill overlooks the golfcourse and the township below. A safe and secluded spot yet close to all facilities of a modern township. Getting there is by road on the Mumbai Pune road as well as by local train to Kharghar Station on the Harbour-line. Specific details will be intimated when you enroll Excursions: Will start from Kharghar Campsite or NAMAC premises in Colaba, Mumbai. Specific details will be intimated when you enroll.
