3 To gain a Big Munch Challenge badge complete 1 clause from each section plus another 2 clauses from any sections that you choose. 1 clause should take place away from the unit meeting place. Each activity can be tailored to all ages, abilities and venues and can be completed during unit meetings, camps or holidays or as part of a District or Division activity day. Please ensure suitable safety precautions and risk assessments are in place at all times and for activities away from your unit complete and submit the appropriate Girlguiding UK forms. If advice is required for outdoor events contact your local activity adviser. Badges can be ordered using the form at the end of this pack. Badges can be purchased before the challenge is complete to allow you to have badges ready to present to participants on completion, especially if the challenge is being undertaken at an event. Thank you for your support in undertaking this challenge, we hope you enjoy it. All proceeds from the Big Munch will go towards the upkeep and improvement of Ripton Lodge, Abbots Ripton Cambs, the holiday house and campsite of Cambs West Guiding.

6 Celebrate the next National Food day. Internet search National food days for a calendar of days & foods Hold a sausage themed meeting Visit a Farm or Food Factory to see how our food gets from Field to Shop Cook mini pancakes over a tin. Punch large air holes in tin, Place over a candle & cook pancake on base of tin Make popcorn and enjoy a film night Play a food themed Fair trade game such as Banana split, The Chocolate Fair trade game or Choca monkey (online trade game) internet search Fair Trade games
7 Visit a traditional Greengrocers, Butchers or Bakers Provide each group with a small budget to purchase their 5 a day Fruit & Veg. At least 2 items should be things they have not eaten before Using the 5 a day from above have a cook and taste session Make Armpit Fudge 450g Icing sugar,1/4cup butter, 85g cream cheese, 1/2tsp vanilla essence, 1/3cup cocoa. Place into large zip lock bag, squeeze out the air, Squish & smooth (under the arm?) until all ingredient s are mixed to a creamy consistency. Add other flavours such as raisins to your own taste. Take a spoon & enjoy. For safety a 2 nd zip lock bag is recommended before squidging & squeezing!!!!. Create a unit camp & holiday recipe book, hold a try it night & cook your favourite. Send the units favourite recipe to Cambs West for the Recipes for Ripton collection
8 Learn to use chopsticks. Then have races to transfer dried peas from a bowl to a cup Visit a restaurant specialising in a cuisine that the girls are unfamiliar with. Thai, Greek, Indian. Make SUMORES. Toast marshmallow on sticks over a candle flame or campfire till they start to bubble, place between 2 digestive biscuits as a sandwich Try No cook Cookery. For example Peppermint creams or coconut ice Make Radish roses.
