Summer Camps at the Lancaster Family YMCA provide a perfect backdrop of fun, friendship, educational activities and healthy play that encourages children to develop in their own unique way and fosters a desire for learning that they ll carry into the coming school year. Our well-trained camp staff provide a safe and nurturing environment while engaging children in our core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Our camps offer opportunities for children from Pre-K age through teen years, and financial assistance towards program fees is available for those in need. 3 YMCA Pre-K Summer Camps Lancaster Family ymca Early learning academy When children are mentally and socially prepared to start school, their potential for success in life increases - early education programs are one of the best ways to get them ready. Children get the great start they deserve at our Pre-K Summer Camp. We provide incoming Kindergarten students with the skills necessary to succeed in the coming school year through fun games and camp theme weeks that help to improve and develop number, letter, color and shape recognition and enhance fine-motor skills and reading comprehension. 4 YMCA Summer Day Camps all YMCA Branches Located at our City Center, Lampeter-Strasburg and YMCA at New Holland branches, our Summer Day Camp provides a full day of fun and enriching activities. Our weekly themes and curriculum nurture curiosity, leading to discovery and growth, by introducing new concepts and challenging the campers to try something different. Our focus this year is on friendship, accomplishment and belonging. Campers will participate in the NEW Camp Readers and Mastery programs where they will achieve reading goals and gain new skills in a variety of interest areas. We re also offering multiple family events and lots of fresh themes, trips and visitors. Your child won t want to miss it! Please note at the City Center Y children will need to pack a lunch the first and last weeks of camp. You must be a Y member at the time of registration and throughout the duration of your child s camp enrollment to receive member pricing. YMCA Financial Assistance is available for those who qualify. CCIS accepted at our City Center YMCA summer camp. Additional Information The $60.00 registration fee and first week s payment are due at the initial registration. Payment for registered weeks must be either paid in full or set up at the Welcome Desk for auto-draft at time of registration. If you do not register for all weeks in advance we cannot guarantee registration for your child. In order to guarantee your child receives the correct camper shirt size, you must register by Sunday, May 20. Add a Sports Camp to Summer Day Camp Week If your child is attending Summer Day Camp at the Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA branch, you have the option of adding a YMCA Summer Sports Camp program to his or her week of Summer Day Camp for $30. * The add-on fee for Challenger Soccer Camp differs from the add-on fee for YMCA Sports Camps. 7 YMCA Camp Shand Day and overnight Camps Camping is about learning skills, developing character and making friends. When kids come to Camp Shand they learn how to be independent and how to contribute to a group. Our programs keep kids engaged in fun physical, social and educational activities that foster self-reliance, a love for nature and the attitudes that build character and leadership. Nestled on 120 acres of scenic woodland in Cornwall, PA, YMCA Camp Shand offers day and overnight camping programs for youth entering 1st through 10th grades and a summer full of activities like canoeing, hiking, archery, campfires, ropes course challenges and swimming. Transportation and extended care is available for day campers. Camp Shand Fees Every child deserves the opportunity to benefit from the life changing experiences that Camp Shand offers. Our camp fees are based on a tier system that enables you to choose the payment that best meets your family s financial situation.
