4 Objective of the P4 Camp:- To incorporate teamwork and develop good leadership and communication skills. To promote experiential learning in an outdoor environment. To develop critical thinking and interpersonal skills through self-reflection and problem-solving. To build self-confidence and develop SEL competencies (e.g. relationship management, social awareness, self management & awareness) To have a fun, enriching & meaningful camp experience.

5 Things to take note:- Date/Day:- 21 st May (Tuesday) 23 rd May (Thursday) Reporting Time:- by 7.15am (As per normal school day) Reporting Place:- School Hall Temperature Taking to be done by 7.45am Departing time:- 8.15am (leaving school for camp) Attire:- School PE Attire ( Track pants are allowed) Camp Venue:- Yishun SAFRA

6 Things to take note:- All meals provided are certified HALAL. Dismissal will be from school on 23 rd May 2013 Each class will be divided into 2 groups. Pupils will remain in their grouping throughout the whole camp. Things you need to bring:- Refer to Packing List! Insurance coverage for all camp participants is by AXA. Accident & Hospitalization up to $10,000 (SGD)

7 Exercising Self-Discipline during Camp DO NOT bring valuable items like Hand phones, MP3 players, Cameras & IPods / IPads / Tabs. Be responsible for your own belongings. DO NOT bring excessive cash. Always inform your instructor of your whereabouts. Never go anywhere alone. Always go with your buddy. If you are not feeling well, immediately inform your instructor or teacher. NO loitering around the camp area after Lights Off! NO one is allowed to leave the camp premises without the teacher s or the Camp Chief s permission.

19 Packing List for P4 camp PACKING LIST FOR P4 CAMP AT SAFRA ADVENTURE SPORTS CENTRE Water Bottles (Keep yourselves hydrated (AT LEAST 1 LITRE BOTTLE) Sleeping Bag Swim suit / Trunks / Rash guard / Goggles (For water activities in the swimming pool) Personal Medication / Thermometer I extra pair of shoes / sports sandals / Slippers (1 pair for night and shower only) Raincoat / poncho / waterproof jacket with hood Writing materials : Markers, & Stationery Items Reusable plastic bags / Zip-lock Bags / Black Trash Bag (For water-proofing of bag in tent) COMPULSORY Sun protection - hat/cap, long sleeved T-shirt, sun-block, lip balm (Optional : sunglass, shades) T- shirt with sleeves 4 pcs (Must be Sch T-shirt when reporting to school) Sports shorts or 3/4 pants 4 pairs Socks Undergarments Towels (Bath and face) Jacket (if need) 3 pairs 4 pairs Long pants (For trekking and climbing. 23 I CAN Pre/Post-Camp Survey Some survey questions will be posted in the ASK & LEARN Parents Portal. The questions act as an indicator of their child s skill competencies in adapting to an outdoor environment. Parents need to log-in to your Ask & Learn account and complete a survey of their child before they go for the camp. The pupil will also need to complete the survey questions in their respective Ask & Learn account. 1 Week after the camp, the post camp questions will be posted via the same portal to access how the camp has benefitted the pupil.
