2 Macon, GA - October 6-9, 2016 The brothers of the Lambda Phi and Gamma Zeta Chapters are honored to serve as hosts for the 53 rd Georgia State Meeting of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. The Middle Georgia Ques will provide first-class hospitality while you enjoy first rate facilities during the Meeting. In addition to the host chapters, the brotherhood and their families will be able to enjoy all our beautiful city has to offer. The host hotel for the meeting is the Macon Marriott City Center which is located at 240 Coliseum Drive, Macon, GA 31217, for reservations call (478) Room rates are$109 a night and includes free on-site parking and shuttle services. The hotel is near Downtown with easy access to the city. You can expect all of your lodging needs to be satisfied by the professional and courteous hotel staff. All meetings, activities and events will be conducted at the Macon Centreplex which is adjacent to hotel. As your host chapters, we are planning many exciting activities for you and your families. These activities include an off-site golf outing on Thursday, a themed party at the hotel on Friday and a hospitality suite. We encourage you and your family to take advantage of the many attractions of the city. Just to name a few we suggest Tubman Museum, Ocmulgee National Monument, and The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, and the many fine restaurants in the city serving great food. We ask that you register on-line today to attend the 53 rd Georgia State Meeting and that you make your room reservation at the Macon Marriott City Center. There will be no on-site registration for the meeting. Brothers that register after September 11, 2016 at midnight are not guaranteed a 53 rd Georgia State Meeting souvenir. Brothers must be registered and present to receive their 53rd Georgia State souvenir. All brothers are required to register for the Georgia State Meeting and pay the appropriate fees in order to participate in any aspect of the meeting. NOTE: All Chapter Form 36D are closed September 25, 2016 at midnight ONLINE. DO NOT SEND TO State KRS. MSP NOTE: MSP fee categories only apply to brothers who were initiated after the 2015 Georgia State Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia and on and before September 25, Forms and documents related to the Georgia State Workshop can be downloaded by clicking on the name of the form listed below. 5 Macon, GA - October 6-9, 2016 STATE OF GEORGIA RULES FOR MARCHDOWN COMPETITION 1. Each chapter will be represented by only one (1) team. 2. Each team will consist of no more than the number of financial brothers on record for your chapter. 3. Each team member must be currently enrolled and as well be in good standing with their respective college or university. Each member of the team must be a financial member in good standing with the International Headquarters (If graduate team, members w/chapter). 4. Each team MUST have at least 1 registered participant from their respective chapter at the State Meeting. 5. Each team MUST complete and submit a March down Participant Form prior to the State Meeting. 6. Each team will have 10 minutes to perform. The March team will have points deducted for going over the time limit. 7. There will be five judges responsible for scoring and recording scores for the competition. Your team will be judged on the following criteria on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest or best score : creativity, originality, precision, uniforms and showmanship. 8. A team will be disqualified for the following reasons: Profane language, profane jesters, and degrading statements that are not acceptable for the audience or event or any act that will tarnish the image of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. 9. Each member of the March team MUST present their Official Omega Psi Phi Fraternity membership card with a valid identification before the March Down begins. Basileus Signature Advisor s Signature
