2 Foundation Ball The Foundation Ball is a celebration of the work of Hilton in the Community Foundation. Over the last thirteen years the Foundation has awarded 13.5 million to support 1,358 different charities and helped over 3.5 million vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people. The Ball is a celebration of what these young people can achieve, if given a helping hand. Funds raised from the evening will be used to help children and young people have a brighter furture. Through our grant programme we work with numerous children s charities to improve access to education and improve the well-being and care of vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. The grants that we award range in size and scope, from requests for specialist equipment for disabled students, to support for cancer sufferers, to equipment for local clubs and schools. Although each different, these grants make a big difference to a young person's life. We are extremely proud of what our charity partners have been able to deliver thanks to our grants. But none of this would have been possible without the tremendous support we receive from you, our supporters. With your help we hope to build on our past success and improve the lives of even more vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people.

5 Hilton in the Community Foundation Supporting Young People Worldwide is the mission of Hilton in the Community Foundation. Prioritising those children and young people who are most in need, the Foundation makes grants to support activities in education and health to equip individuals and relieve suffering. The Foundation focuses its giving on smaller charities that help children and young people in need. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Foundation awarded over 1.7 million in 2013 benefiting almost 150,000 young people. Last year s Foundation Ball raised an incredible 376,878 to help improve access to education and the well being of disadvantaged young people. The success of the Foundation is dependent on the support we receive from Hilton Worldwide staff, guests and business partners. Hilton Worldwide contributes to the administration costs of the Foundation as well as subsidising our fundraising, so every net pound raised goes directly to the charities that we support.
