1 WSRC #69 ** Anniversary Dinner 2/22/18 ** WSRC#69 Chips from the Buzzsaw The Weekly Newsletter of the Rotary Club of West Sacramento Our Program: PDG Barry Kaler explains ROTOPLAST Meeting Summary Members were treated to a moving and informative look into one of the most life-changing projects Rotarians have undertaken, as Past District Governor Barry Kaler described ROTOPLAST, the mission to surgical correction of cleft-lip and cleft-palate conditions. In pursuit of Service Above Self. Few efforts can match the immediate, personal and lasting impact of the Rotoplast Mission. Doctors, health care professionals and Rotary laypeople of all stripes come together to provide cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries for people in areas where such care is not readily available. For most patients, correcting both a disfigurement and a functional disability improves their quality of life immediately, and tremendously Barry described in very moving and personal terms his experience on one such Mission. As Quartermaster, he assured that supplies and personnel were on the ground and ready. Rotary is lucky to have such a logistical pro in it s ranks. ROTOPLAST is just one way we can make a difference, internationally. Volume 69, Issue #26 January 19, 2018 Meeting Schedule 1/26/18 Jesse Salinas Yolo County Assessor 2/2/18 Groundhog Day!
