1 October 2016 Volume 47, Issue 2 Encore Club President s Message This month I am most grateful for Carol Boehly. Carol has been the chairwoman for our fundraiser for years and years. Carol almost single handedly arranges for the venue, lunch, centerpieces, program, fashion show provider and publicity, solicits and organizes the raffle and auction, solves problems and handles a myriad of details. Last but not least she is the Master of Ceremony for the day. Thank you, Carol, for your dedication and support of Encore s annual fund raiser and fashion show. This year Kathy Wrampe is chairing the fashion show portion of the day. She has arranged for the models and coordinated with Lynn Evans Potpourri Designs of New Canaan who is supplying the clothes once again. There are many individuals who contribute their time to make our fund raiser a success - the models, those who donate and solicit for the raffles and auction, raffle ticket sellers and those who come early to set up and stay later to pick up. Your help is needed to solicit the merchants that you frequent. Please call Carol at for solicitation forms. Thank you to everyone for putting in the time to make the fund raiser a success. All the proceeds from this event directly benefit Wilton Social Services, providing needed products and services for those in our community who are less fortunate. Every member of Encore can contribute to the bottom line by attending the event, purchasing raffle tickets and inviting your friends to join you at this fun event. Mark the date, Friday, October 21st, on your calendar. Pick up the phone and invite your friends and fill out the reservation form in this Newsletter. You and your friends will have a wonderful day and Wilton Social Services will be the beneficiary of your attendance. Encore has many different types of activities every month. I hope to see you at a Coffee, Lunch, historical site tour, the theater or any of the other happenings. Look through the newsletter and find those events that you can attend. Mark your calendar, send in your reservation and GO. Nancy Helmig President If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help someone else.
