2 Upcoming Picnics / Lunches Dec 2016 Christmas Luncheon Pebble Creek Wednesday, Dec 14, Lunch provided by the Chianti Room here are the menu choices and there is a no host bar. MENU: CHCKEN Lunch Salad Roasted Apple and Bacon Stuffed Chicken Green Beans served with Sautéed Grape Tomatoes Garlic and Chive Whipped Potatoes Assorted Cheesecakes Or FISH Lunch Salad Lemon Ginger Scared Salmon Lemon Thyme Roasted Squash, Zucchini, and Cauliflower Cranberry Wild Rice Pilaf Assorted Cheesecakes Coffee, Tea and water The cost is $25 / person. Reservations may be made with Pete Mulla via at pmulla@cox.net, Dave Craytor at dcraytor@cox.net, or by contacting Lee Graham at leegram@msn.com. Reservations must be made by Sunday night, Dec 11th, since a count must be turned in on Monday morning. You must also indicate your lunch choice CHICKEN OR FISH. We will also have a speaker Ms. Judy Cook. Ms. Cook is the Vice President of the Litchfield Park Historical Society. She spoke to us last year on the early years of Goodyear in Arizona. Land acquisition in Chandler, Litchfield Park and Marinette, what is now Sun City; transitioning from cotton farming to scientific farming; farm labor and labor camps and establishment of the Model Farmers Program. This year her presentation will be centered on the Litchfield Park Museum and the plans to relocate it / how the present museum came about / its limitations and how her organization plans for a new one. 3 Membership & Dues -- Just a reminder (not a change) / And some good info for 2016 We want to make this as affordable as possible, and we ve come up with two membership options. 1. E Membership / Dues = $0.00 / correspondence via s and web 2. P Membership / Dues = $12.00 per year / correspondence via USPS (4-5 mailings per year). The $12.00 is to cover the printing, copying, and postage needed to get the paper copies to you. HOWEVER -- WE VE EXPERIENCED A BETTER THAN EXPECTED CASH FLOW ON THIS --- SO, NO $$$ NEEDED FOR WE LL PICK IT UP AGAIN IN November Event Our Pioneer Octoberfest in November picnic was held on Wednesday, Nov 9, 2016 at Rio Vista Park. Lunch was provided by Classic Catering -- Brat & Kraut / Hoagie Rolls / German Potato Salad / Tossed Garden Salad w/ House Vinaigrette / German Chocolate Cake / water, sodas, coffee, & beer. The weather was great; we had a turnout of 45 for this picnic. It was a fun time and we had a few first time picnic goers. Here are some photo s from the November picnic.
