Thank you to all who helped with our entranceway decorations. San Ignacio Golf Course seems to be back on track, which is good for our HOA. We hope that 2015 is successful for the new owners. Best regards to all for a Healthy & Happy Very truly yours, Carl Schuster Canoa Chicks Luncheon This year s luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, January 22 nd This year s ladies luncheon will be held earlier in the year. We will have more opportunity to remember each other during the season without a whole year passing between lunches. The luncheon will be at either Torres Blancas golf club (Abrego Grill) or at San Ignacio golf club (Coyote Grill). We wanted a change and also to support our local golf courses. Watch for the flyer this month. We hope to have a wonderful turnout. Your luncheon committee.

2 Emergency at your Green Valley Home (while you re away!) This message is for everyone - not just winter residents. The Green Valley Water District tried to reach a homeowner to tell them they were using an abnormal amount of water. No one answered the phone... So the water ran, and ran, and ran! It was not their drip system, it was inside the house; they had to replace carpet, wall board, and more... FOR YOUR PROTECTION, give the Green Valley Water District your cell phone number, in addition to your home phone number, so they can reach you when you are traveling! And while you are at it... Your Block Captain would like your information too. Homeowners need to provide their Block Captain with the EXTENDED ABSENCE FORM. Your Block Captain and your neighbors watch your home. They need to be able to contact you if they see something that says, All is not right. The Extended Absence Form is available on the website: 2

Contact an ARC member if you plan to make any structural changes to the outside of your home that may affect your neighbors. And remember, Southern Arizona requires special lighting to help keep the sky dark to better view our constellations and stars. TREES (with apologies to Joyce Kilmer) I hope that I shall never see a view-obstructing, bushy tree. A tree who s lofty branches cry, "prune me, prune me" to the sky. Last January, Arch committee member, Pat Danloe, shared this poem in our newsletter. We love those trees that provide shade during hot summer days, but we love our view of the Santa Rita Mountains more! PLEASE keep your trees trimmed to parapet level! 3
