1 MAPLE CITY WINGS GWRRA Region D Michigan Chapter W ADRIAN, MICHIGAN Hello Chapter W Family, Summer is winding down, but there is the fall riding season to look forward to, myself I prefer the cooler air. Hopefully all of you have been able to take some trips this summer and have some fall trips to look forward to. Monthly Gatherings Join us at our next monthly gathering at TBA A phone tree will be started to Notify you of our NEW MEETING LOCATION Our Monthly Gathering is held the 2nd Sunday of the Month. 8:30am for social time, coffee & doughnuts. Come and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow GWRRA Members and our Chapter W Family! Gathering starts at 9am. Our next Gathering is September the Toy Run Gold Wing Road Riders Association Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge! There were several of us that were able to attend the first and last GWRRA combined Region D / Michigan District Rally in Evart MI. The weather was pleasant and there were a lot of vendors and rides to take advantage of. We were able to welcome the new Michigan District Directors Ken & Patti Kintner and say goodbye and job well done to Bob & Kim Scott. The time Bob and Kim spent as our District Directors were full of fun and challenges. We changed Region Directors, the loss of our Treasure Durrand and Lonnie Benjamin, but through it all Bob and Kim did a great job keeping us all on track. A big thank you to them and a welcome to Ken and Patti. Let us all do our best to help Ken and Patti as they take on their new responsibilities. There are some changes coming to GWRRA some of the changes will take place after the first of the year. We don t have all the details, but hopefully the changes will help us put more FUN into GWRRA. As we find out what changes are coming we will do our best to keep you all informed. Our annual Toy Run is approaching fast, we had a meeting at the Kintner house on the 25 th. If you were unable to attend we were able to get a lot done. One thing was we will not be sending our any post cards this year reminding people of the date and time of the Toy Run. Ken is posting on the Chapter W website a flier for the Toy Run he has ask that all members that have a Facebook page post the flier on your site and ask your friends to repost it on theirs. Hopefully this will circulate around. Also if the people who attend our Toy Run bring a picture on their phones or IPads, they will be entered into a special drawing. There will also be a ride on Saturday the 9 th at 4:00 we will be meeting at the pavilion in downtown Adrian to ride the Toy Run route. Sunday morning of the Toy Run we will be having breakfast at the Family Kitchen at 7:00 am before heading downtown to prepare for the Toy Run. We really hope to have a successful Toy Run. There are a lot of things to be done, but we have all done this for a long time and all of our Chapter W family has always been able to GET IT DONE!
