1 June, 2017 Lake News Lakeshore Trailer Owners Association LTOA, P.O. Box Boulder City, NV Website: Upcoming Events June 17 LTOA Get-together 5:00 PM Village Hall Bring snacks and a drink, relax, visit with your neighbors! July Dear Homeowners, The website is up and running, but we need help! Is there a website guru who can help us continue? The person who set it up is ready to turn it over to LTOA, but it would be nice to have someone who is proficient help us! Please let us know if you or someone you know would be willing to step forward with this task. Having a website for our organization gives us one more means of communication to help us spread the word and stay connected! LTOA Membership Meeting TBA Sincerely, Susan Ecklund Susie2910@hotmail.com Cell Phone: Announcements Forever Resorts has recently named Lee Egland as new manager for Lake Mead RV Village. He is now the official go-to person in the park. In addition to Lee, Donna and Holly are working the front desk. The new maintenance person for the park is Jeff. Welcome to all these new people who are here to help us! By the end of June, Internet will be up and running throughout the park. Mobile home owners will be able to purchase usage in various time increments. Details will follow when price structure is official. LTOA Newsletter, April, 2017 Page 1 of 6
2 Flying the Flag! When you are at the lake, fly your flags proudly, and please remember the following protocols: Fly the flag in the daylight. If you choose to fly the flag at night, it needs to be illuminated. Please don t go home and leave your flag flying! Flags quickly become tattered in our desert winds. Please fly flags that are in good condition. If the flag becomes frayed, get another one! Don t just throw your old flags in the trash! American Legion will dispose of your flag properly. There is an American Legion Post in Boulder City located at 508 California Ave, Boulder City, NV In the Community Where to find us on Facebook: This is a closed page for members of LTOA. To find us there, go to and request to be added. Lakeshore Trailer Owners Association (LTOA) Where to find the Fitness Center/Library: At the end of 3rd street where the clothes line is. In Memoriam: Recently, Marilyn Lindemulder passed away. She served on the LTOA Board for years and loved our park. There will be a Memorial Service for her on Saturday, June 1, 2017 at 1pm at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Av, Las Vegas, NV. Door code is Please lock up when you leave. Our condolences go to her brother and sister-in-law Ernie and Pat Buschmann. LTOA Newsletter, April, 2017 Page 2 of 6
3 Important item from Sandy Hug: HOLD THAT BATHTUB!!!!!!! Re-modelers, renovators, fixers; listen up. Don't throw those old metal tubs, water heaters, stoves, fridges, metal skirting, aluminum window frames, copper pipe or wire in the dumpster. If it is metal, put it beside the storage yard gate and the crew will put it in the metal recycle bin inside the yard. It will save space in the big dumpster, and it will enable something good to be recycled from it. Pitch in! Recycle! P.S. Don t use the small dumpsters around the park to dispose of items such as these! And while we are on the subject: If you are cleaning up your yard, the park has tippers they will bring to your lot, and you can use them for free. If you need one for household items (including trash from remodeling), there is a charge. Check with the office. Safety and security: There have been a lot of cars, trucks, motorcycles zipping through the park, not only on the first row, but also on other rows. It isn t just the RV ers, folks. This is so dangerous! So many children and adults ride their bicycles and play ball in the streets. We do live in the perfect playground! There aren t many speed limit signs, unfortunately, but please remember, in the Village: LTOA Newsletter, April, 2017 Page 3 of 6
