1 Nov_m\_r 2017 Upcoming Club Events Christmas Party 3 rd December The 2017 annual Christmas Party will be held at Arundel Hills Country Club on the 3 rd December. All bookings and payment were required by 30 th October. For further information contact Di Cooper on or Marilyn Porter on Art Gallery Visit and High-Tea A visit to the Art Centre at Bundall showing 200 years of fashion photographs has been arranged for the 8 th December (will suit our lady members). See page 6 for information. Wednesday Run 6 th December Fourth Birthday The Wednesday event for December will be a run through the Hinterland to the Hinze Dam Cafe for lunch, stopping along the way for BYO morning tea. Bruce Lynton Jaguar Range Rover opening new premises on 25 th October. 24 of our members were fortunate to attend. It was a wonderful display and effort by Bruce Lynton Jaguar. Note: Next meeting, AGM for election of the new committee for Ron Gaudion was allowed 5 timed minutes to talk about his recent England D Type trip. It became a very long 5 minutes of most interesting History of Ron s with D Type Jaguars and Le-Mans racing history. (Thank you Ron) Meeting Closed at 8.30pm. 6 Fashion Hi-Tea A tour of Gold Coast Art Gallery has been arranged featuring Coming into Fashion, a Century of Fashion Photography at Conde Nast. The showing will be followed by a Hi Tea Meet at the Arts Centre Bundall at am on 8 th December The Hi-Tea will be at noon Cost is $40 per person Paid on the Day For More Information Contact Di Cooper on Opening of the Bruce Lynton New Premises Following an invitation, 24 club members attended a cocktail party celebrating the opening of the new ultramodern sales and service centre of Bruce Lynton Jaguar and Range Rover in Southport on the 25 th October. The Company welcomed over 300 guests to the cocktail party and provided a festive atmosphere with music, champagne and light refreshments hosted by a number of beautifully attired young ladies. Club members were given a guided tour of the building including the modern service facilities, in the centre of which was a blind pianist playing melodies on a baby grand piano and accompanied by his guide dog looking thoroughly bored with all the fuss. Both the XK150 of David and Robyn Hughes and the Mark V of Gary and Jane Mikkelsen were on show for the event.
