De la Gappe, in Gatineau. Gatineau Synchro and our team of volunteers are looking forward to welcoming you and hosting our first national synchronized swimming competition at our new sport centre. We hope that the athletes and all involved will have a memorable experience in our area. This package contains information about the event including hotel locations, a map of the area, local tourist attractions and an invitation to a soirée to which all are welcome, including parents, coaches and officials. Information will be available on the websites of: Synchro Canada and Gatineau Synchro All official information packages will be provided in both French and English. All event announcements will be made in English and French. Results will be posted on the Synchro Canada website and the Gatineau Synchro All CDs must be submitted at the time of accreditation. 2 copies of the CDs are required and be must well identified on the CD case and the actual CD. The CDs must be identified with the name of the athletes, the routine, age group, club name and duration of the music. The CD must only have one piece of music. 3

4 Medical Services Food Information and Welcome Desk Medical and Physiotherapy services will be available during the competition. Nationally accredited lifeguards will be on deck at all times during the competition. No food is allowed on the pool deck. An information and welcome desk will be available during the competition. A relaxation area will be available for athletes and accompanying parents. Transportation will be available upon your arrival and departure from the airport and during the competition. Permanent bleachers provide seating for 515 people, and a wider deck could accommodate additional bleachers with seating for up to 500 more. 5

14 ATHLETE SURCHARGE - $50 This surcharge applies to each athlete attending each of the national competitions (i.e. : Divisionals or Nationals) to offset the cost of having officials at these meets. This surcharge is charged only once per athlete per meet (i.e. if a club has 15 athletes attending the Espoir Championships they pay $750 = 15 X $50), no matter how many events e. g. Solo, duet or team the athlete competes in. The club pays again for each athlete attending Nationals. This surcharge is to be paid along with the entry fees. For those clubs whose province pays this fee, the club is to communicate with their provincial office to obtain the refund by submitting a copy of their roster as verification.
