Cruise Line Partner Destination Workshops Destination workshops held around the world with GMCVB Representatives and Cruise Line partners sailing out of Miami. Destination Workshops and Training Destination workshops and Seminars are held throughout the world on an ongoing basis by GMCVB Representatives. Territory Sales Call Coverage GMCVB Representatives make weekly Sales calls to update Travel Industry Tour Operators and Agencies throughout the world on Miami. Airline Partners and Tour Operators Destination Training Ongoing destination Training with Airline Partners and Tour Operator for independent travel advisors and frontline in-house advisors. Destination Events & Road Shows with Visit USA and Industry Organizations Destination workshops are held in Country with Visit USA Committee and other Industry organizations in all year. 3 GLOBAL NOVEMBER /27 11/29 IBTM World (Formerly known as EIBTM) / Barcelona, Spain IBTM World, formerly known as EIBTM, is one of the leading global events in the meetings industry. More than 15,500 meetings, events and incentives industry decision makers from all over the world attend this event. This tradeshow allows the GMCVB to get in front of the meetings industries finest trade professionals and international buyers. IBTM World offers a Hosted Buyer Program, where the show organizer guarantees the attendance of more than 4,000 prestigious and highly qualified buyers from around the world. This event is limited to 8 GMCVB partners. FEBRUARY /20 2/22 Connect Travel Marketplace / Kissimmee, Orlando A tourism tradeshow bringing top international travel buyers together with travel industry suppliers in a reverse-style trade show format. Connect Travel Marketplace will take place in Kissimmee, Orlando this year. The tradeshow combines an educational program from thought leaders in travel and marketing, along with prescheduled one-on-one appointments with international travel buyers. JUNE /1 6/5 IPW / Anaheim, CA (Formerly known as International Pow Wow) This is a show is the travel industry s premier international marketplace and is the largest generator of Visit USA travel. More than 1,000 US travel organizations from every region of the country will be present, representing all industry category components. Close to 1,500 International & Domestic Buyers from more than 70 countries will be conducting business negotiations that result in the generating of more than $3.5 billion in future Visit USA travel! Limited to 12 GMCVB members. 6/17 6/20 LE Miami / Miami Beach, FL (Limited Edition Miami) LE Miami is a travel industry show which brings together lifestyle-led hotels and travel brands with both leisure and corporate buyers from all over the world. 4 USA & CANADA MAIN TRADESHOWS OCTOBER /4 Travel Impressions Long Island / New York The Travel Industry Sales Team will participate in a trade show in Long Island where we expect nearly 100 Travel Professionals will attend a table top show. We will participate in various Travel Impressions shows throughout the fiscal year once we receive their schedule. 10/15 10/20 Canada Sales Mission / Toronto and Montreal, Canada The Travel Industry Sales Team will conduct travel advisor round table presentations in Toronto and Montreal for over 150 travel advisors giving updates on hotels and attractions in our destination. We will host VIP receptions for Tour Operators in Toronto and Montreal with round table training for nearly 70 tour operators. 10/19 10/21 Salon International Tourisme Voyages (SITV) / Montreal, Canada The Travel Industry team will participate in the International Tourism & Travel Show in Montreal at Place Bonaventure attended by thousands of targeted consumers. This three-day event offers the opportunity to generate valuable contacts and make immediate sales. 10/22 10/23 Peninsula Trade Shows in Texas The Travel Industry Sales Team will attend two shows in Texas in Plano and Waco. These are new cities in Texas that we have not visited and we will have the opportunity to meet over 300 travel advisors. Trade show and dinner presentations. NOVEMBER /7 11/9 CruiseWorld / Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center The GMCVB will participate with a 40-foot pavilion at Travel Weekly s CruiseWorld & Home Based Agent Show at the Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center. 5 JANUARY /11 1/13 AAA Pittsburgh Travel Showcase, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania This annual trade show will be held in the David L Lawrence Convention Centre. This large consumer show is the Tri-State s only travel and tourism event in this area. There were over 108 exhibitors last year and thousands of consumers who attend this show ready to book their vacation. 1/18 1/20 Boston Globe Trade Show / Boston, Massachusetts This annual consumer travel show is the only Travel Show in New England that reaches over 2.8 million readers weekly through The Boston Globe, boston.com, Metro Boston, & Worcester T & G. They expect over 20,000 consumers and more than 250 exhibitors to participate in the show this year. 1/25 1/27 New York Times Travel Show / New York City, New York The North America's premier travel trade and consumer convention will return for its 16th year in 2019 to the Jacob Javitz Center. The GMCVB will participate with partners this year in the largest premier consumer show in the Northeast. Over 20,000 consumers and 200 trade are expected to attend the show this year. MARCH /16 3/20 Peninsula Trade Shows Boston / Providence, Central New Jersey The Travel Industry Sales Team will participate in round table presentations in one of our top markets. We will have the opportunity to meet around advisors in each location. The LA Trade Show / Los Angeles, California The GMCVB will participate with the LA Trade show in Los Angeles including a trade Show and sales calls to high end and entertainment advisors in the Los Angeles area. Over 300 top entertainment and top producing advisors are expected to attend the trade show. 3/19 3/20 Travel Advisor Forum Las Vegas This home based forum and exhibition provides good networking with the advisors as well as face-to-face meetings with top producers It is a chance to expose your brand to this exclusive audience of professional travel sellers. 3/23 3/24 Atlanta Travel Show, Atlanta, Georgia GMCVB staff will participate in the Atlanta travel show with the opportunity to meet with thousands of affluent travelers living in the largest populated metropolitan area in the United States. 6 APRIL /1 4/8 Cruise360 / Ft. Lauderdale, Florida The Travel Industry Sales Team along with PortMiami, Miami International Airport and GMCVB members will represent and sell the Cruise Capital of the World. Cruise360, the official conference of the cruise line industry, is also the leader in educational training and networking opportunities for cruise industry travel professionals. The conference offers training and professional development seminars, destination and product workshops, hands-on technology training and product updates from the CLIA-member cruise lines. This conference attracts over 1,400 cruise travel advisors globally. Member participation limited to ten members in Miami s Pavilion 4/3 4/4 Alliance of Westchester Travel Advisors (AWTA) / New York GMCVB staff and partners will participate in their annual fall travel show in New York. This show is a trade show and dinner presentation is attended by 4/8-4/11 Seatrade Cruise Global 2019/ Miami, Florida GMCVB in partnership with Port Miami and Miami International Airport will attend this international conference and exhibition serving the cruise industry. This show draws more than 11,000 attendees and nearly 1,000 exhibiting companies from 117 countries and regions. Members wishing to attend should visit for contact information. MAY /3 LITAA (Long Island Travel Advisor Association) / Long Island, New York Annual northeast show with attendance of over 200 members travel advisors. The Travel Industry Sales team will also host a VIP luncheon after the show. 5/21 5/23 Travel Advisor s ULTRA Summit / Kissimmee, Florida This three-day show is an exclusive, and productive event in the luxury travel space. As an invite-only event, ULTRA invites only pre-qualified, leading luxury travel agency owners and managers to meet one-to-one with the crème de la crème of luxury travel suppliers. Florida Road Show / West Palm Beach, St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Tampa, Orlando GMCVB will host travel advisor seminars and conduct sales calls for key agencies in Florida. We will host a receptive tour operator event in Orlando for key wholesalers. 7 Go Go/Flight Centre Tradeshows / Northeast GMCVB staff will participate in a trade show and networking events with one of our top northeast Tour Operators, who invite their top clients for educational seminars and a table top trade show. SEPTEMBER 2019 Northeast Sales Mission / Northeast Cities The Travel Industry Sales Team will host the annual northeast sales mission visiting four cities in the northeast and hosting a VIP event for top travel advisors and tour operators in New York City. Ten members are invited to participate in this sales mission. Peninsula Trade Shows The GMCVB will participate in a series of round table presentation shows throughout various cities in the United States over 350 travel advisors will attend these educational presentations. 8 LATIN AMERICA & CARIBBEAN OCTOBER /29 10/2 FIT America Latina / Buenos Aires, Argentina FIT a four-day event that brings travel professionals from around the world and the general public to meet and gather information on new products and services in the tourism sector. NOVEMBER /8-11/11 FESTURIS Gramado / Gramado, Brazil GMCVB will participate in this two-day show. This International Tourism Fair brings together representatives of the tourism sector in southern Brazil. In two days of intense activity, FESTURIS provides the ideal climate to create and develop business opportunities and partnerships that generate solid results throughout the year. DECEMBER /4-12/6 Bahamas Sales Mission GMCVB and its partners will conduct Destination Presentations, Trainings and one on one session with Top travel agencies and host VIP event. JANUARY /28-2/1 Mexico Meeting Planner Mission / Mexico City, Mexico GMCVB and partners will present and promote Miami as a destination for meetings, incentive travel & group to Top MICE travel planners through Destination Presentations and one-on-one VIP networking events. 11 OCTOBER 2018 EMEA (EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST & AFRICA) AND RUSSIA 10/2 10/4 Visit USA UK Roadshows / Manchester, Birmingham & London; England GMCVB will travel with the VUSA Association to three cities and with 100 selected travel advisors invited to meet the partners of the association and discover more about their products. This event is being supported by the Tourism Office of the Department of Commerce and will be used as a vehicle for promoting the TV campaign that will run on national TV throughout the UK. 10/8 Discover America Sweden / Gothenburg, Sweden GMCVB s Travel Industry Sales will attend with the Discover America Association their USA Day in Gothenburg. Anticipated attendance is 150 clients. 1/18 1/20 Matka / Helsinki, Finland GMCVB s Travel Industry Sales will attend Matka in Helsinki. This Nordic Travel Fair will be attended by 80,000 visitors B2C. 1/30 Visit USA Switzerland Workshop /Zurich, Switzerland GMCVB will attend this annual workshop and have an opportunity to meet approximately 150 Swiss travel advisors. The show is attended by over 300 travel advisors/media from Denmark, Sweden and Norway plus over 50 USA suppliers. 3/6 3/10 ITB / Berlin, Germany GMCVB along with its partners will exhibit within VISIT Florida s stand at the world s leading travel trade show. With more than 180,000 visitors, among these 108,000 travel industry professionals and over 10,000 exhibitors from 180 countries. ITB Berlin is the leading B2B-Platform of all tourism industry offers. 3/14 Visit USA Unite 2019 / London, UK GMCVB s Travel Industry Sales will attend the Visit USA Unite The event brings the opportunity to meet UK tour operators on pre-booked one-toone meetings. 15 MAY /2 GMCVB / Emirates Holidays and Dnata Travel Training / Dubai, UAE GMCVB s in market representative will attend immediately following Arabian Travel Market 2019 a destination presentation and training for the staff at both Emirates Holidays and Dnata Travel. We anticipate an attendance of 55 front line travel advisors working in the call centers for both Emirates Holidays and Dnata Travel. TTG Roadshow Luxpo / London, UK GMCVB s in market representative will attend Luxpo in London with the opportunity to network with premium travel professionals focused in the luxury market. The format of the roadshow allows one-to-one meetings. JUNE /11 6/12 The Big Travel Trade Event / Belfast, Northern Ireland GMCVB s Travel Industry Sales will attend The Big Travel Trade Event. The show is supported by Brand USA, Visit USA UK and Irish chapters. The GMCVB will participate with the shared booth and speed dating event. The show attracts 400+ key Northern Ireland travel agency professionals to attend the 2-day show. 6/17 6/18 Travel Bulletin Luxury Showcase / Edinburgh & York, UK GMCVB s in market representative will attend the showcases aimed for the luxury market. JULY /4 Visit USA UK Independence Ball / London, UK GMCVB s in market representative will attend the Visit USA UK Independence Ball in Central London. The GMCVB will host a table for 8 travel partners for the cocktail reception followed by a sit down dinner. 7/9 USA Summer Soiree / Dublin, Ireland GMCVB s in market representative will attend the Travel Trade USA Summer Soiree. The GMCVB will host a table at the annual event. 7/8 7/12 UK-Ireland Sales Mission / London and Dublin GMCVB along with its partners will participate in a UK and Ireland road show with the objective of meeting the leading British and Irish Tour Operators and their USA Product Manager teams. The anticipated attendance will be 50 clients. IFTM, International French Travel Market / Paris, France GMCVB will represent the destination at IFTM (International French Travel Market). IFTM Top Resa is France s leading B2B international tourism exhibition. This show is the travel industry s leading event for networking, doing business, innovating and keeping abreast of market developments covering all sectors: leisure, business and events. This fair attracts approximately 25,800 travel industry professionals & 1,026 media. GMCVB Israel Seminar / Haifa, Israel GMCVB s in market representative will organize and attend a seminar in Haifa. We will have the opportunity to meet and educate approximately travel advisors. GMCVB France Training / Bordeaux, France GMCVB s in market representative will organize Tour Operators Training in Bordeaux. We will have the opportunity to meet and educate approximately clients. Emirates Holidays Annual Conference / Dubai, UAE GMCVB s In - Market Rep will attend The Emirates Holidays Annual Conference. 17 EMERGING MARKETS MARCH 2019 Brand USA China Sales Mission / Beijing, Shanghai & two other cities The Greater Miami CVB will participate in the annual China Sales mission visiting tour operators with sales calls VIP events and seminars and call center visits in four cities in China. SEPTEMBER 2019 Brand USA India Sales Mission / New Delhi, Mumbai and other cities The Miami CVB will participate with Visit Florida on this annual sales mission to India.
