Appointments are the core of the show and allow buyers and sellers to meet face to face with prescheduled seven-minute appointments. Show Type: Conference & Marketplace Participation: Sign up directly with American Bus Association (Must be a member) VISIT FLORIDA Trade Event-Philadelphia, PA January 13, 2011 Description: This top event will focus on the retail travel agents in the Philadelphia market. The Philadelphia area is ranked in the top 5 domestic origin markets for our state and has great air service into our destination via US Airways and Southwest Airlines. Attendance: approximately travel professionals Show Type: Retail Participation: Sign up directly with VISIT FLORIDA Great Vacations Expo AAA-Columbus, OH January 21-23, 2011 Description: New! This will be our first year of participation in the third annual AAA Great Vacations Expo. This is a great way to reach the consumers in the Columbus area. 2 Florida Huddle Daytona Beach January 23-25, 2011 Description: This appointment tradeshow provides an excellent opportunity to meet directly with domestic & international tour operators, online partners and media. Attendance: 15,000 Participation: N/A Collateral Due: Jan 7, 2011 Travel and Adventure Show Chicago, IL January 29-30, 2011 Description: This is the largest consumer/travel agent travel tradeshow in Chicago. 66% of the audience "pay to attend" solely to find a vacation information and take advantage of show specials! In fact, over 70% of the consumers found their vacation at the show, and 55% will book that vacation within 6 months. 3 VISIT FLORIDA Educational Trade Event-Providence, RI February 10, 2011 Description: To maximize sales efforts in the Northeast during the Boston Globe Travel Show, VSPC will be participating with VISIT FLORIDA in a Travel Agent Event in the greater Providence area. VISIT FLROIDA will be creating a branded Florida section to maximize our tradeshow floor presence. 4 The New York Times Travel Show New York City February 25-27, 2011 Description: Do not miss the biggest consumer travel show that held in NYC all year. Friday is open to travel professionals and the media while Saturday and Sunday the show is open to consumers. Attendance: 25,000 + Show Type: Retail/ Consumer Participation: $250 Limit 3 Partners Brochure Dist: $ per 200 pieces Collateral Due: February 4, 2011 MARCH AAA Marketplace, Foxborough, MA March Description: This is our sixth year of participation in The AAA Marketplace held in the Gillette Stadium. The GLBT Community is affluent, brand-loyal, well educated and travel frequently. Exhibiting at the expo is the truest definition of the perfect niche market. Attendance: 15,000 Participation: $ Adventures in Travel Expo Washington D.C. March 12-13, 2011 Description: This is the largest consumer/travel agent travel tradeshow in the D.C. market. 73 percent of attendees find their next vacation at this event and 60 percent will book their vacation within 6 months of attending. 5 Peninsula Travel Presentations Norfolk, VA, Falls Church, VA, Cherry Hill, NJ March 22-24, 2011 Description: PENINSULA TRAVEL PRESENTATIONS, INC. provides a series of 5 minute round table presentations to small groups of 7 to 8 travel agents at a time. This unique format offers an excellent opportunity for vendors to educate and discuss with travel agents how best to present and sell their products. In addition to the round table presentations a table top tradeshow is hosted to maximize interaction with the travel agents. A VIP Travel Agent dinner is planned in Philadelphia the Monday prior to the shows. Space is limited so we request you limit your distribution to one brochure, special flyer (if desired) and business card per quantity indicated. Payments must be received PRIOR TO THE EVENT and are non-refundable. (Usually 3 weeks in advance unless otherwise directed). If additional time is needed, please contact us to make other arrangements. VSPC must require payment in advance because we commit to show producers the number of booths needed and VSPC will be billed ourselves if we have no-shows. You must inform us in writing if you will not be attending or sending brochures. Because we ship early, VSPC must know two weeks in advance or you will be responsible for payment. In the event a show cancels, you will be issued a complete refund or if you prefer credit for a Leisure Travel event.
