2 Coeur d Alene Airport Association Monthly Meeting July 15, 2015 at 4:30 p.m., Hayden Public Library The meeting was called to order by Mike Zaidlicz at 4:30 p.m. - Attending: Mike Zaidlicz, Brett Seright, Gretchen Roth, Elsbeth Roach, Holly Forshee, Murdo Cameron and Charlie Branch. - Minutes of the June 17, 2015 meeting were approved. Treasurer s Report: Allen reported account balances of $ checking and $ savings ( ). - Ramp Construction on the east side has begun: fences are down and pavement broken up. - No report from Joan Genter on Airport Board or Rathdrum Days activities (Jerry s flyover June 18?). - Open Hangar event: July 21, 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Cameron Aircraft. Murdo will haul the Cd AAA canopies from storage for set-up on the lawn. This would be an opportunity to sell hats, shirts, bottled water, and to recruit new members. The event flyer was passed around, listing other attractions (boats. cars, airplanes) invited to display. - Hayden Irrigation District water storage tower plan: no report. - Brett reported that he and Allen will be looking into on-line membership application and payment systems. Mike observed that we should be thinking about how to go about fund raising. M/Murdo, S/Charlie, V/Unanimous to adjourn at 4:54 p.m. During our exit, Charlie checked with the desk and we are now scheduled for August, September and October, 4:30-5:30 p.m. We can schedule up to three months ahead for use of a meeting room. Way Hayden, ID New and Renewing Members Vic Walters Airport security is everyone's responsibility Coeur d Alene Airport Association Monthly Meeting June 17, 2015 at 4:30 p.m., Hayden Public Library The meeting was called to order by Mike Zaidlicz at 4:35 p.m. Attending: Mike Zaidlicz, Brett Seright, Gretchen Roth, Allen Peterson, Murdo Cameron, George Barnhart and Charlie Branch. -M/Murdo, S/Allen, V/Unanimous to approve the minutes of May 20, Treasurer s Report: Allen reported account balances of $ checking and $ savings, and status of the 501(c)3 application, which the IRS has received and cashed the check. - The Airport approved the painting of a compass rose by the 99s on the north side near the firehouse. - The ramp is being rebuilt near the Hagadone Jetport and parking area, so those airplanes will be moving to the SW transient ramp during construction. - Pavilion project: Dave Rauscher will be assisting tomorrow in moving the stakes to locate the final building location at least 15 away from the underground power lines and the county surveyor will then plat the area for the permits and approvals process. - Intermountain Chapter of the 99s will meet September in Spokane (see ad). - Hayden Lakes Irrigation District is again proposing construction of a 165 water tower on their Dakota Avenue office property. More news later - Rathdrum Days parade 9-10 a.m. July 18 would like a flyover to start things off. (Murdo asked Jerry Goggin with his T-34, who was found willing, and provided his contact information to Joan.) - Possibilities for pancake breakfasts, hosting Ron Dalton s BBQ truck, and other events were discussed. Gretchen will coordinate this project. M/Murdo, S/Charlie, V/Unanimous to adjourn at 5:14 p.m. The Cd'AAA would like to facilitate the hangar owners and renters in being pro active about preventing trouble at the airport. During our exit, Charlie checked with the Library desk, and we re scheduled for August and September. We encourage all hanger owners and renters to place the above Emergency Contact sign in a window visible from the street. This will provide a quick way to notify the hanger owner or renter if anything unusual is noted by airport personnel or other hanger owners. Signs can be obtained from Murdo Cameron, , or Mike Gossett, There's something about the Arco Desert that makes it interesting to fly over after driving through it...
