Hme t the fantastic Tutankhamun exhibit the museum hsts a huge number f ther ancient Egyptian artefacts. 5 Day 8 : Luxr, Karnak temple Yur mrning is free tday and yu can enjy a welcme lie in after several early starts. After lunch we'll tur the huge temple cmplex at Karnak, nce the religius centre f Thebes and Upper Egypt. It was linked t Luxr by an extensive avenue, lined with sphinxes, and the whle cmplex was in turn linked t the Nile via a canal thrugh which mved the sacred bats f the gd Amun. Entering thrugh a smaller sphinx-lined avenue, built by Ramesses II, yu cme t the immense pyln entrance. Inside the huge Curtyard are three chapels dedicated t the gds Amun, Khus and Mut. The remarkable Hypstyle Hall has 134 twering clumns, each carved with scenes f gds and pharahs, and hierglyphic inscriptins adrn the walls.
