Notable Cases On Monday, at 5:31 p.m., a 36-year old Vallejo resident was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and possession of an access card with the intent to fraudulently charge. This occurred at 91 st Street and Junipero Serra Boulevard. On Thursday, , at 9:34 p.m., Officer Tony Baroni was on patrol in the area of Sullivan Avenue and the Eastmoor Avenue off-ramp from highway 280 when he attempted to stop a vehicle for making an illegal turn. The driver of the vehicle pulled into the In N Out restaurant where the officer thought the driver was going to park. Instead, the driver drove out of the lot, back on to Washington Street and attempted to make a left turn onto the highway 280 on ramp towards San Francisco. The vehicle hit the cement curb, causing the vehicle to become disabled. The two occupants of the vehicle, a male and a female, fled on foot. Witnesses flagged down officers and said two subjects matching the description were trying to get into a vehicle at the 76 station at Junipero Serra Boulevard and San Pedro Road. Officers responded to the 76 station where they met with a 34-year old Newark resident who said as he was pumping gas, he was contacted by two subjects who told him to give them a ride because they needed to get out of the area. The victim said no, and the male suspect pushed him away from his vehicle, and the female subject got inside from the passenger side. The victim said the suspects fled in a high rate of speed, causing the wheels on his vehicle to spin. This investigation is continuing. On Friday, , officers were dispatched to a report of a naked female who had possible jumped form the John Daly Boulevard/280 overpass. Officer Janet Cordellos found a subject who had jumped from the School Street/northbound 280 overpass sign area. The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, and the case was handled by the CHP. On Thursday, at 5:47 p.m., Officer Jose Ortega stopped a vehicle at Gellert Boulevard and Warwick Street. The officer smelled an odor of marijuana in the vehicle, and both the driver and passenger said they didn t have any marijuana in the vehicle. The officer searched the passenger and
2 found a scale, a large amount of currency and marijuana. The passenger, an 18-year old South San Francisco resident, was arrested for possession of marijuana for sale. On Friday, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a resident on the 300 block of Chester Street reported that an unknown male subject was going door to door trying to sell meat. The resident described the subject as a white male in his 50 s, 5 9, husky build, blonde hair, wearing a black shirt. The reporting party said the male tried to force himself into her residence, and she closed the door on him. The reporting party said the subject got into a white pickup truck with a black female in her 40 s sitting in the passenger seat and fled the area. Officers tried to locate the vehicle but were unable to do so. Robberies There were two robberies during the past week. On Wednesday, at approximately 2:40 p.m., a 37-year old Daly City resident said she was walking from her home on the unit block of Lausanne Avenue towards Edgewood Park and was walking between two parked cars when a male opened a car door, said Hey bitch and grabbed her by her hair. The victim said the suspect then punched her twice in the face with a closed fist as she tried to push him away. The victim said a second male subject who was sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle told the first subject to do it quickly. The first suspect then grabbed the victim s wallet out of her hand and proceeded to grab her pocket. The suspect took her wallet and iphone and fled the area in a silver two door Hyundai Genesis. The victim was transported via ambulance to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, early 30 s, skinny, wearing a black beanie, gray jacket, blue sweatpants and black shoes. The second subject is described as a Hispanic male, mid 20 s, wearing a black jacket. Detectives are investigating leads in this case. On Thursday, at 9:38 p.m., a 34-year old Newark resident said he was pumping gas at the 76 station on Junipero Serra Boulevard and San Pedro Road when he was contacted by two subjects who told him to give them a ride because they needed to get out of the area. The victim said no, and the male suspect pushed him away from his vehicle, and the female subject got inside from the passenger side. The victim said the suspect fled in a high rate of speed, causing the wheels on his vehicle to spin. These subjects were fleeing from an officer who attempted to pull over their vehicle, and this investigation is continuing. The victim was unharmed, but his 2000 Toyota Sienna was stolen. The vehicle was later recovered on Residential Burglaries There were two residential burglaries during the past week.
