Notable Cases On Monday, at 10:51 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Public Storage facility on Mission Street on a report of someone moving items around in a closed business. The officers arrived to find two vehicles parked in the rear of the business. Both vehicles were full of personal items and storage containers. As officers were walking through the storage complex, they heard movement and a woman s voice say, Hurry, we gotta go. The officers waited for the elevator to open and a woman exited. The woman said she had a storage unit on site. Officers asked how many other people were inside, and the woman said there were three others. Officers found five lockers that were burglarized. During the investigation, officers determined the woman, a 31-year old San Pablo resident, was in possession of multiple checks and credit cards in other person s names, counterfeit bills and prescription pills. She was arrested for commercial burglary, identity theft, conspiracy, receiving stolen property, possession of burglary tools, possession of counterfeit bills, possession of a controlled substance and bringing contraband into a controlled facility. The second suspect, a 41-year old San Francisco resident, was arrested for commercial burglary, identity theft, conspiracy, receiving stolen property, possession of burglary tools, possession of counterfeit bills, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and committing a felony while out on bail. The third suspect, a 42-year old San Francisco resident, was arrested for commercial burglary, identity theft, conspiracy, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and for possession of prescription pills not belonging to him. The fourth suspect, a 32-year old Hayward resident, was arrested for commercial burglary, identity theft, conspiracy and receiving stolen property. The items stolen from the storage lockers were all in the vehicles that were parked in the lot. On Wednesday, at 1:45 a.m., Officer Poti was on patrol in the area of Hillside Boulevard and East Moltke Street when he saw a male talking loudly and walking erratically. Officer Poti decided to conduct a welfare check of the subject and noticed the subject was exhibiting the signs and symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. A couple hours earlier, the dispatchers received a report of a subject who was attempting to get into the back yard of a residence on the 1100 block of Hanover Street. This subject matched the description and also lived next to that residence. At that particular call, officers found nine hypodermic needles in a plastic bag on the stairs of the residence, as well as a jacket with a tourniquet in the pocket. Officer Poti asked the subject when he last used drugs, and the subject said he shot up a year ago. Officer Poti conducted some

2 tests on the subject and determined he was under the influence of a controlled substance. The subject, a 34-year old Daly City resident, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of unlawful paraphernalia and for possession of hypodermic needles. On Wednesday, at 10:51 p.m., several Daly City Police Department officers and San Francisco Police Department officers responded to the area of the 900 block of Saddleback Drive on a report of a San Francisco P.D. shot spotter activation. San Francisco P.D. advised that four shots were fired in the area of a multi-unit condominium complex between San Francisco and San Mateo County. Officers arrived and found shell casings in the area, as well as three subjects. After an investigation, one subject, a 31-year old San Francisco resident, was arrested for illegally discharging a firearm, being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm with priors, carrying a loaded firearm to commit a felony, and for criminal conspiracy. The second subject, a 31-year old Daly City resident, was arrested for illegally discharging a firearm, criminal conspiracy and possession of a dangerous weapon. No one was injured, and a semi-automatic firearm and metal knuckles were taken from the subjects. On Thursday, at 10:00 a.m., officers arrested an 18-year old Hayward resident for commercial burglary, prescription fraud, identity theft, providing false information to a peace officer and for an auto theft warrant from San Francisco after he tried to pass a phony prescription to the Walgreens pharmacy on Mission Street. On Thursday, at 7:40 p.m., Officer Wagnon was dispatched to an apartment on the 400 block of 90 th Street on a report of an animal nuisance. The reporting party advised that his neighbor had over 10 chickens, and the foul and strong odor of the chickens was affecting his quality of life. The officer found over 25 chickens in the apartment. The 57-year old chicken owner was advised of the Daly City municipal codes regarding animals on the perimeters, maintenance of animals on premises and the prohibition of roosters. Officer Wagnon issued a verbal warning and gave the subject a deadline to remove the chickens and roosters. On Saturday, at 7:23 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Macy s parking lot on a report of a domestic disturbance. The reporting party advised dispatchers that her ex-boyfriend was standing behind her car and not allowing her to leave. When the officers responded, the subject saw them and began to walk away, at first ignoring their request for him to stop. The subject complied, and the officers removed the subject s backpack and wanted to conduct a pat search for weapons, as the subject had on baggy clothing. Officers noticed the subject was extremely fidgety and appeared to be under the influence of a stimulant. When asked if he had anything illegal on his person, the subject said he had a pocket knife and gave consent to search his person. The officer found a white crystalline substance wrapped in plastic in the subject s right coat breast pocket. The officers found a 9mm handgun and a loaded magazine in the backpack. The subject, a 30-year old Oakland resident, was arrested for possession of a firearm by an addict, carrying a loaded firearm in a public place, carrying a concealed firearm not registered to him, and for possession of a controlled substance. His exgirlfriend, a 26-year old South San Francisco resident, was unharmed. Robberies There was one robbery during the past week. On Thursday, at approximately 9:16 p.m., the Lucky s store was the victim of a robbery by a suspect who was assaultive to a store employee who confronted him for stealing items from the store. The suspect threw a bottle of Tequila at the store front window. In the scuffle, the suspect dropped his cell phone and fled the area. This case is being referred to the District Attorney s office. Residential Burglaries There were no residential burglaries during the past week.

3 Commercial Burglaries There were five commercial burglaries during the past week. On Monday, at 10:51 p.m., the Public Storage facility on Mission Street was burglarized by four suspects. See Notable Cases above for more information. On Tuesday, between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., an unknown suspect pried the lock to a storage complex at an apartment on the 300 block of Lake Merced Boulevard. The suspect stole a used laptop and accessories for the laptop. On Thursday, at 3:30 a.m., the LBC Mabuhay business on Mission Street was burglarized by an unknown suspect who pried the front door and stole a 50 television. Between 10:30 p.m. on Friday, and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, , an unknown suspect burglarized the Spiral Japanese Cuisine at Westlake Shopping Center and took cash and credit cards. Between 10:00 p.m. on Friday, and 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, , an unknown suspect pried open the door to a storage locker at an apartment parking garage on the 200 block of Coronado Avenue and stole a vehicle air intake system, Xbox 360 game console, car speakers, amplifier and blankets. Vehicle Burglaries There were five vehicle burglaries during the past week. All of them occurred at the Serramonte Shopping Center. Please do not leave ANYTHING of value in your vehicle even if it s underneath the seat or in the trunk. Serramonte Shopping Center parking lot (near Buffalo Wild Wings) a backpack containing a laptop, ipad, iphone, Blackberry, sunglasses and miscellaneous electronics was taken from the rear seat of a 2016 Ford Mustang. The left front window was smashed. Occurred on between 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Serramonte Shopping Center parking lot (near Crunch Fitness) a computer bag containing a Dell laptop, checks, three pairs of prescription glasses and miscellaneous paperwork was taken from the passenger seat floorboard area of a 2010 Land Rover. The front passenger window was smashed. Occurred on between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Serramonte Shopping Center parking lot (near Target) a backpack was taken from a 2015 Nissan Quest. The right rear window was smashed. Occurred on between 9:10 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. **On-line report. Serramonte Shopping Center parking lot (near Macy s) a backpack containing Taiwanese identification and a phone charger was taken from the rear passenger seat of a 2016 Toyota RAV4. The right rear window was smashed. Occurred on between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Serramonte Shopping Center parking lot (near Macy s) a Michael Kors wallet was taken from underneath the passenger seat of a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. The right front window was smashed. Occurred on between 11:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Stolen Vehicles There four vehicles stolen during the past week. Three of them were recovered.

4 1000 block of Brunswick Street a 2003 Toyota Camry. Occurred between 6:00 p.m. on and 8:00 a.m. on The victim s 40-year old son stole the vehicle and was arrested on Carport on the 200 block of Lake Merced Boulevard a 1994 Acura Integra. Occurred on between 7:00 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. **Recovered by San Francisco P.D. on Unit block of Bepler Street a 1999 Mazda Miata. Occurred between 7:30 p.m. on and 12:07 p.m. on block of South Mayfair Avenue a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja. Occurred between 6:00 p.m. on and 5:29 a.m. on **Recovered by Daly City Police Department a short distance and time later on Miscellaneous There were 2 hit and run crashes We responded to 13 domestic disturbance cases There were 4 cases involving an involuntary psychiatric hold We made 12 warrant arrests Scams/Other None to report.
