1 PUNA CRIME STATISTICS FOR APR 12 - APR BURGLARY: = 4 On April 13th, approximately 4:40 pm on N.Puni Makai loop in Hawaiian Beaches. Party reported unknown suspects entered his residence and removed numerous items including cell phone, Ipad, and several firearms. On April 15th, approximately 12:38 am on Akule St in Hawaiian Shores. Victim reported attempted entry was made by removing louvres off window. It was then determined by owner no entry was made and nothing taken. On April 18th, approximately 4:12 pm on Mokehana Street in Mountain View. Victim reported unknown suspects gained entry into his residence by unlocked window and removed numerous items from within to include a laptop, monitor. On April 21st, approximately 2:04 pm on Anuhea circle in Volcano. Victim reported that unknown suspects entered his residence and removed a TV, DVD player, tools and a Urn from within.

Victim reports her grandson removed her vehicle a 2002 Black Nissan pickup from her residence without her permission. Vehicle was located on April 14th and suspects were then arrested for the offense. UEMV (CAR ENTRY) = 3 SERy GEANTS On April 15th, approximately 2:88 am on Haunani Rd in Volcano. Victim reported while he was seated in his vehicle fronting the Volcano store. An acquaintance of his ran up to his vehicle entered and assaulted him. On April 17th, approximately 7:37 am on N.Kulani Rd Mountain View. Victim reported unknown suspects entered his 1996 Toyota pickup truck and removed a 8 car subwoofer and an swiss army knife from within. On April 17th, approximately 1:36 pm on Mahimahi St in Hawaiian Beaches. Victim reported that two unknown female suspects approached her vehicle in her exboyfriends driveway as she was seated within and assaulted her. ROBBERY= 0 There were no Robbery reports made during this period.

The speed limit in this area is 45 mph. As for the double lane merger heading in the Keaau/Pahoa direction of Highway 130. It is currently being discussed by Department of Transportation to extend the hours of operation past the times of 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm. When that information becomes available it will be added.

5 POLICE MEDIA RELEASE Hawaiʻi Police Department Puna District Sergeant William Derr Phone: Report No. C Hawaiʻi Island police are investigating a robbery Wednesday night (April 22) at the Kurtistown ballpark. Sometime between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday, a 53-year-old Mountain View man was approached by two men, who asked him for a cigarette. They then reportedly punched the victim in the face multiple times, hit him over the head with an empty bottle, dragged him into the men s restroom, and continued the assault. They left with the victim s black bag containing cash and other items and got into a car that had two women and three children inside. The car drove off in the Volcano direction. It was described as a maroon Honda Accord with a fox racing sticker on the rear windshield and a yellow paint smear on the rear bumper. The suspects are both described as being in their early-to-mid 30s, between 5-foot-5 and 5foot-7, and between 215 and 220 pounds. One was described as Hawaiian with dark skin and short brown hair. He was wearing blue denim shorts, a black tank top and black slippers. The other was described as local Portuguese with short black hair. He was wearing blue flowered-print surf shorts and no shirt. He had numerous tattoos on his neck, body, legs and arms. Police ask anyone with information on their identity or whereabouts to call the Police Department s non-emergency line at
