PRESIDENT S NOTE Hi everyone, it has been a rough year and we have had some set backs but I think we may be on track for Run thru the Canyon. Roger Maune one of our newer members has volunteered to take on the task of our prime club event. Roger has already put the wheels in motion and we re looking at an August date for the event. So please keep posted to the website and we will give you the latest updates as soon as we get them. Speaking of volunteers we are getting close to our nominations for next years club officers. This is an important time and considering how this year has gone we are in desperate need for new blood. The members who have been on the board have served well but we need to get some new members to take over. Some of our members are getting burned out and if you have ever been in an organization where you were on a board for a long time you know how that can be. So I m asking you for your help so we can make this club better. All of the requirements for being an officer are in the club bylaws on the website, or you may have them when they came with your new member packet if you still have that. I really want people who want to do the job and not forced to, otherwise you are not going to enjoy being a part of the whole process. Overall it's not that tough a task, there is always someone who can give you insight, former club officers, who would be willing to lend you a hand. I have always maintained we are only as good as the people we have and we have a great group of members. So give it some thought and help me out as well as the club and bring your new ideas and enthusiasm to the next meeting and we will see you there. TREASURER S NOTE Hi All Just wanted to remind everyone that dues are due for our fiscal year starting July 1 st Please update your information with the application/renewal form that is on the website and attach a check for your dues and mail it to the Club PO Box.

2 Dues are still at $30 per couple or individual. OR better yet, bring it to the meeting on Saturday. You can pay for more than one year but please no cash. Your check is your proof of payment. APR June 9, This Month's club meeting has been canceled due to the "Run Through the Canyon" event June 9, th ANNUAL "Run Through The Canyon", Club Fund Raiser Event - Bob Berticelli coordinator - This is our annual signature event. This is the event that put our club on the map seventeen years ago when club member Chuck Bonasera had an idea to bring a bunch of car enthusiast together for simply, a fun after noon. You did not even have to bring a classic. Mom's old station wagon would work just fine. Well, seventeen years later, the tradition continues. June 16, Club Event - The Camaro Club Mystery Drive. 4 Nor-Cal ChevelleCaminos Featured Car Sonny DiMeo's 68 SS in Matador Red Sonny DiMeo's 68 SS in Matador Red was purchased in 2011 from a collector in Ohio. The worksheet was located behind the back seat springs and trunk panel, so Sonny found that the SS was born with an M-21 4-speed Muncie, 3:55 rear end, optional red interior, bucket seats and the black vinyl top. It has since been upgraded to a new 4:10 rear end and under the hood: aggressive Comp Cam, Hooker headers, Weiand valve covers, 650 cfm Edelbrock carburetor, aluminum intake manifold and electronic ignition upgrade. The most incredible feature on his gauge cluster: the one-year-only Roller Tach!! Sonny also tells us that this car was an A/C, Power Brakes and Power steering delete car. This means that the buyer was trying to save weight for the drag strip. 4
