Meet at 9 am at Performing Arts Center with a 9:30 departure. Saturday 28 June - HCCA & MTFCSD Horseless Rodeo at the Del Mar Fair, meet at Albertsons at 9am for 9:30 escorted drive into the fairgrounds. 2 Minutes for HVMTC General Meeting at the Anderson home in Pauma Valley May 10 th, 2014 Meeting opened at 1 pm by President Doug Lested. Members attending included Mac MacPherson, Dale & Eleanor Stanfield, John & Karen Pepe, Tony & Heather Bowker, Warren Raps, Merleen & Ken Magers, Doug & Neta Anderson, Henry Keener, Vic & Stephanie Terrell, Phil Ewing & Doug & Debra Lested. After a delicious BBQ lunch, cooked by Doug & Neta, Doug Lested welcomed everyone and commented that it was a good turnout. Doug thanked Doug & Neta for the hospitality and the great lunch they prepared. The only item of official business was the introduction of the Board for 2014/15 as voted for at the last meeting. The new board is : President - Doug Lested Vice Pres/Tour Chair - Stephanie Terrell Treasurer - Diane MacPherson Secretary - Tony Bowker Past President - Mac MacPherson Being no further business, Doug closed the meeting at 1:15pm. Respectfully submitted Tony Bowker, Secretary Tour to Pauma Valley 10 May Doug & Neta Anderson invited the club to their home in Pauma Valley for a BBQ and President Doug suggested that we make this the Installation Lunch. We met at the usual location of the Arts Center in Escondido a little later than normal. The route was provided by Doug and we were told to anticipate a few miles of dirt road. About 10:30 seven Model Ts left the Arts Center parking lot, on back roads across Escondido then up through Valley Center. The route then took us along Lilac Road which starts out as good paved road and slowly degenerates into a dirt road as we approached Hwy 76. At this point Dale lost a wheel nut, which required much searching thru tool boxes. After this little interruption, we continued along Hwy 76 up to the Anderson home. After arranging parking, finding room for Mac with the trouble trailer, we all settled in for some serious visiting. One of my first Model T tour in the county was an overnight campout to their old home, a little lower down the valley. Since then Doug's family sold the avocado ranch and now their "new" home sits on about 4 acres overlooking the growing fields and Pauma Valley. I put new in quotes as the home is close to 30 years old, time flies when you are having fun... June 2014 Hidden Valley Model T Club Commutator Page 2

It was a great tour and Installation Lunch, maybe something like this could be an annual event Tony Wanted I am looking for a Rear Axle complete with brake assemblies and hubs for wire wheels. Drums are optional. Radius rods and torque tube are not needed. No Ruckstell axles. It has to be in good condition and restorable. BBQ Lunch at the San Dieguito Heritage Museum The San Dieguito Heritage Museum held a Deep Pit BBQ at the museum on May 17 and member Warren Raps asked for a few Model T's to decorate the grounds.

The meal was great and the visiting outstanding.

Wow, during the 50's Encinitas was a very small community, everybody knew everyone, the kids couldn't do anything without their parents finding out.

5 BBQ Lunch at the San Dieguito Heritage Museum The San Dieguito Heritage Museum held a Deep Pit BBQ at the museum on May 17 and member Warren Raps asked for a few Model T's to decorate the grounds. In the event there were three Model T's, Tony brought his 14 touring, Richard Bauman his 23 Touring and Warren had the 17 Three Model T's at the Museum Richard Bauman's 23 Touring Touring. The meal was great and the visiting outstanding. Richard took me a tour of the Tenen home which the museum plans to restore and we looked through the pictures of the early families in the Olivenhain area. Wow, during the 50's Encinitas was a very small community, everybody knew everyone, the kids couldn't do anything without their parents finding out. What a change from today's anonymous, cookie cutter housing in the area. Tony Pickup and stuff for sale 1924 Roadster Pickup12 volt system with alternator and distributor, Adjustable lifters and high compression head. External oiler, turn signals, fused wiring system. Rucktell, 26/27 wire wheels, Rocky Mountains, very good top and leather seat. Wood bed with cover. Very good touring car. Spare running engine with same updates. Running board tool box and fuel cans. $12,000 OBO. Pictures available. Very large collection of parts including 26/27 engine (taken apart), alternators, starters, generators, bearings, etc. Value of this is over $9,500, but will take $7,400 obo. A partial list of the parts is available and is growing as I discover more parts. Everything is located in San Marcos, CA.
