President's Message As many of you already know, Dan and Kay's return home from visiting Corky and Janie in Oregon was interrupted by a detour to the hospital in Douglas, Wyoming. Dan became very sick and it was determined that his sickness was being caused by a blockage. Surgery was performed to straighten out a twisted bowel. At last update he was doing better. Proving that you can't keep a good man down, he sent the following message and some pictures from their trip. "I noticed on the website that nothing is mentioned about LS 35. Please place an ad the newsletter for members to send pictures to Robin. Also any write-ups or comments from members would be great. When you look at the monthly activities not much is there. Next meeting is at Mimi's North, Sept 21...make your voice known if you would like to fill any position in the Club, YOUR CLUB. Please give some real thought to this. It is not difficult to hold these positions. DAN, ON MY SICK BED..." Cruisin the Coast, Kay and I have camping space available for this show next month. We're not going to use it. If anyone would like this prime space let me know. Otherwise I will cancel it and turn it back in. I have 6 days resèrved in Gulfport...Dan 1

5 CTCCC Meeting Minutes: Minutes of August 17, 2017: Dan called meeting to order welcoming all and recognizing new members Maggie Huebner and Eric & Sally Johnson. July minutes approved as presented in newsletter. Treasurer's report approved as reported by treasurer Kay Bowen. Thanks to George Benavides for the Casa Garcia's location for our south meeting. Birthdays and Anniversaries announced with congratulations to all. A reminder to list events you attended representing our Club on the attendance form at each meeting. Awards will be given to the Top 200 point holders at our Christmas/End of year party. Reports and photos were given by members attending the Tri 5 Nationals. Newsletter articles needed for the next few months. Send to Pat Corbell. Last go round for LS 35 T-shirts, Cards & CD's for sale. Past & future activities were discussed. Kay Bowen presented our club with another opportunity to participate in a most worthwhile event, Operation Christmas Child. Our club has been involved with this event for several years now.
