To start the new year off there will be our New Year s Day ride. We will meet at Shoney s on Riverside Dr.

Clarksville. The staff meeting on the 8 th will be at Dennis and Jan s The winter event is on the 14 th located at Lane Argi Park in Murfreesboro TN.

Jude s drive in Dec. we are off to a good start for next year. And special thanks to Rural King for letting us do it in their Store. It was a lot warmer in there.

We hope everyone had a great Christmas with all your friends and family and you got everything you wanted or needed. To start the new year off there will be our New Year s Day ride. We will meet at Shoney s on Riverside Dr. in Clarksville between 1 & 1:30 to eat than if the weather permits go for a ride. On the 5 th there is a dinner ride to Luigi s pizza. The address is 2243 Lowes Dr. Clarksville. The staff meeting on the 8 th will be at Dennis and Jan s The winter event is on the 14 th located at Lane Argi Park in Murfreesboro TN. It will be lots of fun and games. On the 19 th we have a dinner ride to Jersey Mikes located at 1960 Madison St. I would like to thank all who helped in our St. Jude s drive in Dec. we are off to a good start for next year. And special thanks to Rural King for letting us do it in their Store. It was a lot warmer in there. Now just a note for future thought we are going to hold another lawn sale April 1 st to help support the chapter. It will give everyone a chance to clean out the stuff you no longer need and please donate to help fund your chapter for future events. I know I was gone a lot of the summer but I think I could have done better putting rides together for the Chapter.

I will have at least one ride per month on a Saturday, and some Sunday afternoon rides also.

Not too much time in hospitals this year and lots of miles on the bike. I saw a lot of new country this year and lots of new roads. What I didn't get much of was Chapter rides. I know I was gone a lot of the summer but I think I could have done better putting rides together for the Chapter. So, I have already committed to making sure we have more rides on the calendar next year. I am going to spend some time this winter trying to put rides together that everyone will enjoy. I will have at least one ride per month on a Saturday, and some Sunday afternoon rides also. Please enjoy your holiday and be thankful for all your blessings I will see you in the spring with rides scheduled. I look forward to seeing everyone on 1 January for our new years ride. Hopefully the weather will allow a ride that day. See everyone there!! Dave Jones Remember your ride coordinator needs your help planning rides. Dave Jones could use your ideas as to where to go. So to pass the time and satisfy that yearning to be near the Bike, you might do the following: 10. Look at old rally photographs. 9. Talk to friends about good times at past rallies. 8. Read old Wing Worlds and other motorcycle magazines. 7. Watch motorcycle races on TV. 6. Put on your helmet, put on your Chapter vest, sit back in your recliner, and go vroom, vroom, vroom. 5. Put your vest and helmet on and drive in your car with all the windows open or with the convertible top down. 2. 5 January 2017 Wa ri o to Wi n g s V olume 2 I s s u e 1 P a ge 5 MEMBERS CORNER FEATURING TOM MURRAY AND JAN PETERSON Well with the year 2016 closing chapter Q had a very busy weekend of the tenth of December. Starting out we were asked by Rural King here in Clarksville, to help them with their Customer Appreciation Day. They wanted us to serve hot dogs to their customers. Well we accepted the invitation. So Cindy Bidwell, Dennis and Jan Peterson and Tom and Pat Murray had a lot of fun from 10:00 To 2:30 serving 344 hot dogs. This worked out real well, we also combined it with a Fund Raiser for St. Judes Children's Hospital. It turned out to be a very FUN and successful Day. Also on the same day The chapter supported the Christian Motorcycle Association, by taking donations to the Appalachians so they could have a Merry Christmas. On Friday the 9th a convoy of trucks with trailers and cars departed for the mountains. Frank and Dana Wall, Dave Jones, Tim and Carla Toutges were involved in this support. I want to thank everyone who supported these events for the Chapter. We are looking forward to a very successful 2017, We need the support from the Chapter to accomplish this. Come on out and share some of this FUN with us, we will have more of these events in the coming year. Tom Murray Tennessee Chapter Q bestowed on us the honor of being their Couple of the Year for this is a real honor for us, it shows that the chapter appreciates the things you do to help out. We enjoy traveling and visiting other Chapters, Districts and Regions. While we travel we try hard to promote the chapter district and region and the things we do. This coming year we plan to visit all the Tennessee chapters and bring the Couples plaque home as much as we can. We hope to meet all the other couples and make new friends in the process. Our real hope is that some of our home chapter friends can join us for our visits. Again thank you Chapter Q for honoring us in this way. Jan Peterson

The dates are firm but the location is not set yet. They lost their site because of the hotel being sold and going through renovation. They will announce the new location as soon as they find one. This is a fun rally. If you get the chance it would be a good trip, we have been there several times and have fun every time. The staff hopes to make some changes and maybe recruit some new members January 14 Set aside this weekend for the Winter Event it will be at the Lane Agri Park in Murfreesboro Tn. This will be the day for the 2017 District Couple Selection( the selection will be from the 2016 chapter couples) and to celebrate all the TN Chapter Couples. There will be table decoration judging, games and music for dancing if you wish. This is going to be like a New Years Party. Your chapter is still looking for some help. We are in need of a Member Enhancement Coordinator and a Dinner Ride coordinator. If you are interested in these position please let us know. One of the staff members would like to talk to you about the positions. Remember to bring your suggestions for things to do next year.
