2 General Information Upon arrival at the camporee site, units will check in, register and pay any remaining fees at the camporee headquarters. Troop vehicles will be allowed to transport unit equipment for offloading. Once accomplished the vehicles must return to the designated parking area. One vehicle (with unit trailer) may remain in the campsite area. Health and Safety: All units should bring water with them. Water is available however it is located quite a distance from the campsite. Waste water is to be filtered through a wire screen or cheesecloth to remove any food particles before disposal. Port-a-johns will be available in the campsite area. The program area has bathroom facilities. All buildings are off limits except those used for program presentations. After the program these areas are off limits. It will be each unit s responsibility to carry out all garbage. Storage of all flammables (propane & liquid) will be in a safe, designated area per BSA guidelines. Flammables are to be used only under registered adult supervision. No firearms, bows/arrows or other contraband items are permitted Throwing rocks is forbidden due to injuries that can occur No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs Closed toe shoes must be worn at all times Anyone leaving / returning must sign out / in at the camporee headquarters. A unit must have two deep adult leadership at all times. At least one adult 21 or older and one 18 or older is required. Bicycles and electronic devices are not allowed. Scoutmasters and leaders, please be aware of this policy. It is acceptable for the Scout leaders to have the devices in their care during the Camporee (specifically cell phones in the case of emergency)

3 Registration: Registration process will be through Double Knot. The cost for the event is $16 per Scout and $6 per adult. The cutoff date to register for this event is Friday, September 29, Webelos Scouts: Webelos Scout dens are encouraged to camp with a sponsor unit. The Webelos will be able to participate fully in the Schedule of events on Saturday. We ask that there be a 5 to 1 Webelos to adult ratio, with a MINIMUM of two adults per two-deep leadership policy. It is the unit s responsibility to adhere to BSA policy. Webelos Scouts staying overnight must have a host unit. Upon arrival at the camporee site, units will check in, register and pay fees at the check in point. The registration form should be completed prior to arrival if at all possible. Meals: All units cooking on wood or charcoal fires must use a low impact style fire lay (elevated fire pit). Fire wood is not available. Anyone caught cutting down trees will be asked to leave. Do not leave fires unattended. Uniforming: Field (Class B) or Dress (Class A) uniform is appropriate during the Camporee with the decision being left to the individual unit. Dress uniform (Class A) is strongly encouraged at the Worship Services. Maintaining Order: The Scout Oath and Law are the rules of the Camporee. Scouts unable to abide by these guidelines will be asked to leave the area. Certain areas will be marked Off Limits for safety and / or program use. NO ONE is allowed in these areas. You will be asked to leave the Camporee if unable to comply with these requests. No running on the trails or in the camp after dark. Fellowship is important and encouraged between units; however Scouts should not be in campsites other than their own without invitation. Emergencies health, weather, other: Should any emergencies occur, please send a unit representative to the camporee headquarters for instructions. Check Out Procedure:

4 Check out and depart by or before 11:00am Sunday. When units are ready to depart a unit representative will report to the headquarters so a camp area inspection can be performed. The site must be clean before a unit is cleared for departure. A scout leaves an area cleaner than he found it. One vehicle per unit will be allowed in the camping area to load equipment at a time. All units must leave by way of the side entrance/exit of the facility. Do not go to the main area, there will be other functions going on. Questions? 6 Camporee Events TROOP VS. TROOP TUG OF WAR Dig in and hold your ground!! HUMAN FOOSBALL TABLE: Try your hand in a life size foosball game!! Know your Knots : Practice up, and know these three knots. This will be a timed event!! Search And Rescue Mission:

7 This event will involve the entire troop working together. Your team will search for the missing victim, then treat his injuries and successfully bring him back. OBSTACLE COURSE : Troops will have to work together to make it through this timed event. You will have to belly crawl, balance across a beam, get over a wall, run through tires, and KNOW your scout history (things you would be asked on board of reviews, scout oath, scout laws, outdoor code) DODGEBALL : ***CAMPWIDE GLOW IN THE DARK CAPTURE THE FLAG*** Following Saturday night campfire

8 SCOUTMASTER COOK- OFF: Scoutmasters, show that you are the best cook! Compete to win a new Dutch Oven, along with some other great prizes!! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded!! Gate Way Building: Each Troop can build a gate way at their camp site. Gateways will be judged for and points given for originality and craftsmanship.

9 Campsite Inspections Campsite inspections will be made while the events are taking place on Saturday morning. The scores from the inspection will be used in the event of a tie. The items of concern during the campsite inspection are noted below.
