Follow the BSA Leave No Trace Guidelines, Scout Oath and Law, and the Guide to Safe Scouting. Class A uniforms requested for flag ceremonies and Chapel. Class B uniforms can be worn for other activities. Closed toed shoes required except for waterfront and showers. Dutch Oven Competition- Dinner must be cooked in a Dutch oven without pre-prepared items or box mixes. Canned food items are acceptable. All camporees are smoke, vapor, and tobacco free. Please avoid tobacco or vapor use in front of youth. Be sure to extinguish and properly dispose of all cigarette butts. Vehicles are restricted to authorized parking areas. No personal firearms or ammo. No energy drinks and No alcohol.

3 Activities Mountain Biking Challenge First Aid Challenge Suspension Challenge Backpack and Bear Bag Challenge Friction Bridge Cope Course Mountain Biking Shooting Sports Scouts please only do an event once until all scouts have had an opportunity to participate and encourage an attempt at a variety of skills. Scouts will be given a token for completion at each event from the person in charge. Points will be accumulated for the unit depending on the percentage of the unit that is able to achieve completion of a diversity of events. Scouts should be prepared with: First aid skills such as shock treatment, triangle bandages, sprain care, Hammock carry, and etc. The seven basic knots: the square knot, bowline, clove hitch, sheet bend, taut-line hitch, timber hitch, two-half hitches Back Country Skills Be sure to bring any flags that you have to retire during the ceremony. ** Please note that activities will depend on weather, Supplies availability, and adult volunteers willingness to help.

(US flag on right side of the entrance to a person standing in the entrance facing out of camp. ) Possible Score Unit Flag Tennessee Flag (on opposite side of the entrance to US Flag) Tent Placement and or Bunk Upkeep (20 Points) Takes advantage of ground slopes, no ditching. Avoids insects, poisonous plants, and obvious overhead dangers. Tents properly erected; trim, securely anchored. Neat tent arrangement. Neat and Orderly Bunk free of items in walkways and hazards. 10 Fire, Firewood and Wood Tools (20 Points) Correct clear radius around fire ring of any flammables. Firewood, charcoal, cooking equipment, is protected from rain and dampness. Wood tools properly stored. (if in an ax yard, ax yard properly marked off and located) Health and Safety (4 Points) Fire Extinguisher (visible, proper type and condition) 10 First Aid Kit (adequate and visible to all) 10 Litter Free 10 Campsite is clean and in order, equipment neat and stored properly Roster and Tour Permit and Inspection Form (this Form) available and in the dry. Duty Roster and Menu Posted Scouts with appropriate Training performing appropriate tasks. (ex. Firem n Chit and Tote n Chit) Points Earned Total Points Earned

6 Competition Points Electronic Registration Points will be awarded to any unit whose adult leaders electronically register by April 30th. LNT Pickup As the 11th point of our scout law states, A Scout is Clean, if any unit picks up camp liter or clears an area outside of their campsite during the weekend and consistently manages their campsite will receive additional points. Scavenger Hunt When troops check in on Friday night, they will be given information on a scavenger hunt. Based on their success in finding or identifying key items, they will get additional points, commensurate with their success. You may collect if not damaging nature. You may also take pictures. Entree Dutch Oven Cook off Units will receive extra points if they turn in an entree that they have cooked for the Saturday evening meal. Additional points if recipe is submitted and cooked without shortcut ingredients. Scout Spirit The amount of scout spirit that each unit shows. This includes but is not limited to the Patrol yell, Patrol flags, overall behavior and good spirit towards all. Let s see the scout law in action! Raw Egg Teamwork Ability for a unit to keep up with and protect a raw egg through Saturday activities. Participation We hope that each unit have some participation in every event. The bigger percentage of unit involvement in each event the better.

7 Volunteer Needs & Expectations We will be asking all attending adults to volunteer in some way at an event to ensure that things run smoothly and safety is kept in check. Please let me know if there is an event you are specifically skilled in or desire to help in. Also if you have supplies that you are willing to contribute. We are looking for bridge lumber or pioneer poles and first aid supplies such as triangle bandages and wraps. Parachord would be helpful. Please consider bringing an item to contribute to the Friday night cracker barrel. We are planning on sandwiches, and snacks. Please consider not overloading them with sugar before bed. We hope that all unit leaders are moving around to events and participating with their units. Encourage that scout spirit!
