2 Looking for a place to meet? The Marlene Reid Centre is a converted chapel and school situated in the centre of Coalville, the gateway to the National Forest. The Marlene Reid Centre has well appointed meeting rooms available to hire in the day and the evening: A large hall which accommodates up to 100 people and is suitable for meetings, training, events, children s parties and dances. It has lift access for disabled people. A group/meeting room for up to 75 people. This large room can be divided to provide separate meeting rooms. A committee room for up to 25 people Plus Interview/Counselling Rooms There is ramped access to the building on the ground floor for those with disabilities. A range of audio/visual training aids are also available for hire. All rooms have refreshment making facilities and catering can be arranged to suit your budget. 3 Looking for some space to work? The Marlene Reid Centre has well appointed offices to rent from 60 to 500 square feet (60 to 45 square metres) on flexible licences with or without furniture. 5 How to find us: We are 4 miles from J22 of the M1, 9 miles from J13 of the M42, 15 miles from Hinckley and 10 miles from Loughborough. We do not have a car park facility for visitors, however opposite our building there is a Pay & Display car park on James Street and the following charges are applicable: 50p for 1 hour, 80p for 2 hours, 1.20 for 3 hours and 2 for 3 hours+ Clock Tower Melbourne Street

6 CONDITIONS OF HIRE 1. There are NO CAR PARKING FACILITIES available at the Centre between 9am and 5pm except for 2 visitor s spaces and 2 spaces for disabled (please check availability prior to meeting) 2. Extra charges will be applied for hiring after 10pm and on Saturdays and Sundays (see hire charges) 3. No rooms or equipment should be used other than those agreed by the Centre Manager. PLEASE NOTE: Any electrical equipment brought into the Centre must be Portable Appliance Tested (PAT). 4. Smoking is not allowed in the Marlene Reid Centre. 5. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that all Health & Safety requirements are met, including fire evacuation procedures and first aid provision. The hirer is also responsible for their own Liability Insurance for activities. MRC Community Action reserves the right to charge for any damage to any property or equipment. In the event of cancellation, providing one week s notice is given, in writing, no charge will be made. Please forward the booking form opposite to Ann Cave, the Centre Manager. Bookings cannot be regarded as accepted until this form is received.
