My Quick Joke A woman got on a bus holding a baby. The bus driver said, "DAMN! That's the ugliest fuckin' baby I've EVER seen!" In a huff, the woman slammed her fare into the fare box and took an aisle seat near the rear of the bus. She fumed for a few stops and started getting really worked up. The man seated next to her sensed that she was agitated and asked her what was wrong. "The bus driver insulted me!" she fumed. The man sympathized and said, "Hey! He's a public servant and he shouldn't say things to insult the passengers." "You're right!" she said. "I think I'll go back up there and give him a piece of my mind." "That's a good idea," the man said. "Here, let me hold your monkey!" 6 The 2014 annual Santa Ride along West St Umina Page 6 Saturday morning dawned to blue skies and it turned out to be a great day to escort Santa in our annual ride along West Street Umina. Christmas decoration all over the bikes and some of the riders as well. All eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa. At 10am sharp, 29 bikes, our red BBQ trailer with flags, 1 police car, 3 fire trucks, a very well decorated Jeep and of course Santa on the back of a Goldwing all left the Ocean Beach Drycleaners carpark on the final ride of the year. Truly a great spectacle for all the mum s dad s and kid s who turned out for the show. The bikes looked great but Santa was the big hit, especially for the kids. 6

8 Redbacks Spin Page 8 Watch this space for an old favourite.. Coming in the March edition Editorial As the editor of our Newsletter, I must say that I have had a very busy time putting this all together month after month. This is one of the reasons I will not be running for the Secretary s position this year. This newsletter takes a lot of time to prepare each month and has been a huge part of the Branch since the very beginning... So here is our new look newsletter for Most of the details are much the same, but with a slightly different look. We have the usual reports for the month, a ride calendar, coming events, and most important you will still have to find that Redback and Bluebike each month to win the prize at the meetings.. Our newsletter will be ed to all on the list and will also continue to be posted on our Website each month, a hard copy will still cost you $2 at our monthly meetings (to help cover some of the printing costs). I m trying a new idea called The Back Page. This page will be for you, the members. If you have anything to tell us, good news, not so good news, something to sell, tell us a joke, photos, anything at all, send it in and we can all read about it on the back page. I m hoping this will be well supported and should be a good read for us all. Please send all your submissions to me at; philb253@hotmail.com I would like all your feedback on our new Newsletter so that I can ensure our members get the best out of it and continue to enjoy the read. Easyrider. 8
