In Region III, the following areas were affected by floodings: Zambales 28 brgys in Botolan, San Felipe, San Marcelino, San Antonio and Iba Olongapo City - 17 Pampanga 125 brgys Apalit, Guagua, Sasmuan, Floridablanca, Masantol, Lubao, Bacolor, Mexico and Arayat. Bulacan 45 brgys in Balagtas, Calumpit, Guiguinto, Marilao, Meycauyan and San Miguel Bataan 90 brgys in Pilar, Morong, Hermosa, Dinalupihan, Abucay, Samal and Bagac There are currently 743 families / 2,956 persons housed in 4 evacuation centers in (3-Zambales and 1-Pampanga). 3. Incidents monitored in Region IV-B A barge capsized in a narrow reef off Sitio Wawa, Poblacion 1, Sta. Cruz, Occidental Mindoro. No casualty reported Joint PNP and PCG personnel in the areas provided assistance. A tornado hit Brgys 6 and 5 in Paluan, Occidental Mindoro. Two (2) houses totally damaged and four (4) houses partially damaged both in Brgy 6. In Brgy 5, six (6) classrooms in Paluan Central School were partially damaged. Region III A joint NDCC-RDCC-III Meeting was held at 10am today in Guagua, Pampanga. Chairman, RDCC III presented the situation report and the effects of southwest monsoon and TD Maring in Region III. After the meeting, Her Excellency PGMA distributed relief goods and medicines to the affected families in Guagua, Pampanga. CDCC Olongapo City conducted evacuation operations, search and rescue operations, evacuation in flood and landslide affected areas in the City PDCC Zambales is continuously monitoring the ongoing restoration works: declogging and manual ditch clearing in Bataan and Olongapo City DPWH III constructed another footbridge for temporary access of people coming from Botolan to Iba and vice-versa. Cost estimate for the repair of damaged approach is being done by the DPWH District Office of Zambales SAR operations were conducted in areas affected by flooding: One Team of AFP Reservists rescued and evacuated 45 families in Botolan, Zambales (08100H Sep); 2 Rescue Teams of NETC, PN under ENS ASAAD with 2 rubber boats and 2 M35 trucks assisted in rescue and relief operations in Brgy Carael, Botolan, Zambales (091300H Sep); and Medical Team of NETC, PN provided medical civic action program (MEDCAP) in Brgys Bucao & Porac, both in Botolan, Zambales (091330H Sep) 4
5 Region IV-A BDCC Brgy Real, Calamba City responded to the landslide incident Region IV-B The DPWH District Engineering Offices in IV-B activated its maintenance crew and equipment to undertake maintenance activities. Districts Disaster Risk Management Teams were placed on stand-by IV. DECLARATION OF STATE OF CALAMITY Dinalupihan, Bataan was declared under a State of Calamity on 09 September 2009 V.
